Lastly, in Discussion #4, address the question posed on the web page as follows: Do you agree with Mr. Frankl's assertion that the mainstream media is not doing their job by reporting on the demonization of Israel by the PA? Explain your answer in Discussion #4. Mainstream media is the emblem which provides the society with news from all over the world. It is the news that is mostly viewed because it is believed to be accurate, and we can trust it as a reliable source of information. However, in modern times, the mainstream media companies have turned from providing accurate reporting and news towards news that sells and provides them higher viewership. I do agree with Mr. Frankl's assertion that the mainstream media is not doing their job by not reporting on the demonization of Israel by the PA. If the news portals do not provide the information as to what really is happening in the third world country, there is no way the diplomates or the governments can take any standard actions that are required in order to acquire peace in the Palestine country. When Mr. Frankl gives the example of the children in Palestine learning poems that are discriminatory as well as very unethical, that simply shows the power of social media. Him pointing at the largest news portal is a direct criticism as to how different news portal are no covering this issue. In today’s world, mainstream media has become an emblem of breaking news. Their job is not only to provide viewers and readers with important news but also to provide news that will be interesting and catchy. Unfortunately, mainstream media companies and portals like The New York Times, Washington Post use this power to their advantage and manipulate the news reports according to their affiliations with the political party and influential individuals that are connected to them. They are more interested in making money than providing the truth to the citizens. It is the media’s job to provide the citizens with true information in its entirety. Therefore, I wholeheartedly agree with Mr. Frankl's assertion.
