Elementary
Teachers use rubrics to support
learning.
They make assessing the students'
work efficient, consistent, objective,
and quick. Also, rubrics allow one to
organize and clarify thoughts. They
tell you what is important enough to
assess.
Analytic rubrics identify and assess
components of a finished product.
On the other hand, holistic rubrics
assess student work as a whole.

Secondary
Rubric is a two way thing.
The first one is for the teacher to
reflect on the kinds of standards to
be met by students in accordance to
their abilities and the other is for the
students to know what and how
should they work.
When we say analytic rubric, there is
an identification of components that
should be meet by the students
meanwhile, holistic rubric speaks of
assessment of students outputs in
the general context.
Tertiary
Rubrics are important for assessment
because it is used to provide consistency
in evaluating student work.
It is used by the teacher to maintain
consistency in evaluating the learner's
work. It also helps students to self assess
and be aware of what is expected of
their work for them to know on which
criteria they are excelling and which
they need to improve on.
Analytic Rubrics are used to assess
learner's achievements based on
multiple criteria using a single rubric.
While Holistic Rubrics are used to assess
learner's overall achievement on an
activity or item based on predefined
achievement levels.
