Which developments in the information age brought significant changes in

the way you live your life today?
For me, the developments in the information age which brought us how we live
today were the Internet and smartphones. When it comes to how we communicate
today, it makes it easier, in just one click you can communicate and access many
things. Because of the internet, it's easy to catch the news through social media
using smartphones. Nowadays it is more helpful to us because we cannot
communicate with others face to face because we were in a pandemic, we now use
devices or smartphones to catch news, study online, and more. The internet and
smartphones had changed how we live as a human. The fact that everybody is
connected to everybody at any time, and anywhere with no restriction, is a
significant change.
2. How did the transmission of information evolve from ancient times up to
the present?
In the past, they transfer their information by physically delivering it, and some
people transfer it by singing songs. Also, through writing systems just like,
hieroglyphics and cuneiform. Afterward, people use a printing press where people
can make a book which leads to the transfer of their information by reading it, and
by creating a newspaper this was where people got more information. Until the
computers and telephones were made the transmission of information is made
easier even from long distance information can transfer. And now that we have the
Internet, Devices, and Computers it’s much easier and faster to transfer
information just by clicking, calling and through social media, you can transfer and
get any information you want to know, and mostly in Google, you will get a lot of
information.
3. As a student, how will you use social media to ensure that you do not
propagate inaccurate and unreliable information?
As a student, I don't look at the number of reactions or likes of information I
see on social media, instead, I’m examining it or researching it by myself to see if
this information is true and not fake information, because I'd like to make sure that
is true because I search it myself, not just because many of them said that
information is true. To ensure that you do not get unreliable information always
“think before click”, check if the source is real, you will see by checking the source
whether he is trustworthy or not, examples are the big known news delivery in our
country which are the “24 Oras” and “ABS-CBN news”. We should be more alert
in getting information especially now we use social media to spread information,
we might get a lot of fake news, so we always need to check and “think before
click”.
