Hinduism

1. Hinduism practices/tradition use; Meditation, yoga, contemplation, yagna


(communal worship), offerings in the temple.
2. Hindu worship, which is known as “puja,” typically takes place in the Mandir
(temple).
3. Hinduism worships Brahman — the supreme lifeforce from which atman (souls)
and many other gods originate.
4. Hinduism is the world’s oldest religion.
5. The Vedas are the sacred scriptures of Hinduism or religious texts which inform
the religion of Hinduism (also known as Sanatan Dharma meaning “Eternal
Order” or “Eternal Path”).

Buddhism
1. The Buddha (born as Prince Siddhartha Gautama)
2. Buddhism followers are mainly from East and Southeast Asia.
3. Buddhism’s place of worship is in the Buddhist monasteries, temples, shrines.
4. The Buddha taught his followers that the end of suffering, as described in the
fourth Noble Truths, could be achieved by following an Eightfold Path.

● Right understanding (Samma ditthi)

● Right thought (Samma sankappa)

● Right speech (Samma vaca)

● Right action (Samma kammanta)

● Right livelihood (Samma ajiva)

● Right effort (Samma vayama)

● Right mindfulness (Samma sati)

● Right concentration (Samma samadhi)

5. Buddhists embrace the concepts of karma (the law of cause and effect) and
reincarnation (the continuous cycle of rebirth).
