ACTIVITY 2: MODULE 5 – CELL AND ITS WONDERFUL CYCLE

Direction: Complete the chart by noting what occurs in each phase of the cell cycle.
Gap 0 (G0) Also known as the resting
phase since here is where the
cell exits the cell cycle and is
not ready to divide.
INTERPHASE Gap 1 (G1) This is where it increases the
cells size and mass
S Phase This is where the DNA is
being synthesized or
replicated
Prophase Duplication of chromosomes
and the nuclear envelope
starts to condensed. Also, it
separates centrosomes
Metaphase All the chromosomes are
aligned to the center.
Microtubules connect the
chromatid to its spindle poles
Mitosis or M Phase
and one to its opposing poles
Anaphase Sister chromatids are
separated and start to move to
the opposite pole of the cell
Telophase Chromosomes start to de-
condense and it disassemble
the spindle fiber and produce
two identical daughter cells
Cytokinesis Cytokinesis The actual division of the cell
membrane into two discrete
cells
THE CELL CYCLE COLORING WORKSHEET
Direction. On the diagram, lightly color the G1 phase light GREEN, the S phase dark BLUE, the
G2 phase light BLUE, and the stages of mitosis VIOLET. Color the arrows indicating all of the
interphases in BLUE. Color the part of the arrow indicating mitosis PURPLE and the part of the
arrow indicating cytokinesis light VIOLET.
PS: Dahil karamihan sainyo ay gusto na mag color color nalang kaya ayan na 😊
