In English, Noun are used to name things we want to talk about like people, places and

things. A noun is a word that functions as the name of a specific object or set of objects, such as
living creatures, places, actions, qualities, states of existence, or ideas. However, noun is not a
semantic category, so that it cannot be characterized in terms of its meaning. Noun name given to
object of interest. In person have a carol, places have idaho and thing have a cat. nouns are those
words which can occur with articles and attributive adjectives and can function as the head of a
noun phrase. As far as we know, every language makes a grammatical distinction that looks like a
noun verb distinction. In English, Sentences are used to state complete thoughts.A typical English
sentence has at least one noun, and at least one verb. In sentences their are have True, False and
Sometimes true or sometimes false. Is a group of words that are put together to mean something. A
sentence is the basic unit of language which expresses a complete thought. It does this by following
the grammatical basic rules of syntax.

The mathematical analogue of a ‘noun’ will be called an expression. Thus,an expression is a

name given to a mathematical object of interest. Whereas in English we need to talk about people,
places, and things, we’ll see that mathematics has much different ‘objects of interest’. The types of
expression are number, set, function, matrix, ordered pair. Numbers can be represented in language
with number words. Set is commonly represented as a list of all its members enclosed in braces.
Functions are ubiquitous in mathematics and are essential for formulating physical relationships in
the sciences. Matrix a set of numbers arranged in rows and columns so as to form a rectangular
array. Ordered pair is a composition of the x coordinate (abscissa) and the y coordinate (ordinate),
having two values written in a fixed order within parentheses. When we combine numbers and
variables in a valid way, using operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division,
exponentiation, and other operations and functions as yet unlearned, the resulting combination of
mathematical symbols is called a mathematical expression. The mathematical analogue of a
‘sentence’ will also be called a sentence. A mathematical sentence, just as an English sentence, must
state a complete thought. In mathematical sentences 1+2=3, the verb is ‘’=’’. A sentence can be
always true, false, or sometimes true/false. The sentence 1+2=3 is true. The sentence 1+2=4 is false.
X=1 is sometimes true/sometimes false; it is true when x is 1, and false otherwise. A mathematical
sentence makes a statement about two expressions. The two expressions either use numbers,
variables, or a combination of both. A closed sentence, on the other hand, is a mathematical
sentence that is known to be either true or false.
