1. How do the developments in media and information technology change the way life of humans?
- Modern technology has paved the way for multi-functional devices like the smartwatch and the
smartphone. Computers are increasingly faster, more portable, and higher-powered than ever before. WITH ALL
OF THESE REVOLUTIONS, TECHNOLOGY HAS ALSO MADE OUR LIVES EASIER, FASTER, BETTER AND MORE FUN.

2. Although technology is viewed as indication of progress, what do you think are some of disadvantages
of having invented these sophisticated tools? Why are they disadvantageous?
- Although technology is viewed as an indication of progress There are disadvantages in the
evolution of contemporary technology, such as reliance on fresh technology, Man doesn't need to believe
anymore. Even if the calculator is a useful invention, mental calculation is no longer done by man and his
memory is no longer working. Human capital's decrease means an rise in unemployment. Devices can
substitute the human mind in certain fields. Even on social medias, the invention of Facebook, twitter,
snapchat, messenger and other social media apps are destroying the student life.
3. Is there really a need for more advanced technologies? Why or why not?
- It depends on how people deal with things surrounding them. More advance technologies may be
very helpful but these also spoil people and made them lazy enough to do practical things their own.
4. Name of trends or technology that you find useful?
- AI (artificial Intelligence) – it enables human capabilities – understanding, reasoning, planning,
communication and perception – to be undertaken by software increasingly effectively, efficiently and at
low cost.
Computers are today mainly used for storing information, Browsing, Internet activities, creating
presentations, Communication, exploring world using internet and doing complex calculations.
Cellphone are the perfect way to stay connected with others and provide the user with a sense of
security. In the event of emergency, having a cell phone can allow help to reach you quickly and could
possibly save lives.

affairs in the country and are
further encouraged to take a
more active role in the

- The use of social media in
education provides students
with the ability to get more
useful information, to connect
with learning groups and other
educational systems that make
education convenient. Social
network tools afford students
and institutions with multiple
opportunities to improve
learning methods.

influence, persuade and
pressurize society, along with
even controlling the world at
times in both positive and
negative ways; mentally,
physically and emotionally.

reported and printed with no
reliance of it being fact or not.
Stalking, identity theft,
personal attacks, and misuse of
information are some of the
threats faced by the users of
social media. Most of the time,
the users themselves are to
blame as they end up sharing
content that should not be in
the public eye.

1. Social journalism
(from Wikipedia)
- is a media model consisting of a hybrid of
professional journalism, contributor and
reader content. The format relies on
community involvement, audience
engagement, social newsgathering and
verification, data and analytics, and
relationship-building. Social journalism
takes place on some open publishing
platforms, like Twitter and
WordPress.com, but can also involve
professional journalists, who created
and/or screen the content. CNN's now-
defunct iReport was an example of a social
journalism collaboration between
professionals and citizens; other examples
include Forbes.com, infoStraight.com,
Medium, BuzzFeed, Soapbox and Gawker.
The model, which in some instances has
generated monthly audiences in the tens
of millions, has been discussed as one way
for professional journalism to thrive
despite a marked decline in the audience
for traditional journalism.

2. Crowdsourcing
- Crowdsourcing involves obtaining work,
information, or opinions from a large group
of people who submit their data via the
Internet, social media, and smartphone
apps. People involved in crowdsourcing
sometimes work as paid freelancers, while
others perform small tasks voluntarily. For
example, traffic apps like Waze encourage
drivers to report accidents and other
roadway incidents to provide real-time,
updated information to app users.
