The Life of Ryan Bang
BSSW 3B
2. What is the life goal of Ryan given the experiences he encountered, career, family
and others?
Career- He aspires to work in a stable job where he can provide for his family and
bring them out of poverty. He began as a PBB contestant and completed the
journey—becoming a noontime host—by working really hard and training himself
to mature and adapt to the environment of being a celebrity star.
Family- He desired for his family to be completed, for his father and mother to
reunite. When he has his own family in the near future, he does not want to go
through what he had because it was extremely difficult. And having a family
problem affects all element of your life, including socially, emotionally,
economically, and so on. Being raised by separated parents hinders your growth as
a person, which is why he swears to never do it to his future child.
Others- He wants to help people since he knows how difficult life can be for a poor
family. He provides opportunities for others to escape poverty and live a more
fulfilling life. He will be a blessing to those in need since he has a nice heart and is
willing to help them.
FAMILY-BASED PERSPECTIVE
- So, in here we analyze the family as a social system that has an impact on one's
behavior and beliefs. Thus, according Ryan's experience, growing up with separated
parents has a major impact on one's development as a person- a person's life is made
more difficult by a lack of support and guidance.
STRENGTH-BASED PERPECTIVE
-We look on people's abilities and self-determination It's a way of looking at them
who are resourceful and resilient in the face of hardship. Thus, according Ryan's story, his
mother is extremely determined, and she is willing to work full time at several jobs simply
to pay her bills and keep her son, Ryan, surviving. They both endured the hardship and
they never gave up on life’s challenges, they trusted the process, believing that one day
they would be in a situation where there would be no problems and they would be in a
place where they could enjoy life.
