consist of, but are not limited to, home and hospital visits.
2021 Illinois Valley Lutherans for Life Annual Nut Sale
LAST DAY! If you wish to order any nuts, please fill out a
form along with your payment and give it to the Lutherans
for Life volunteer, Amanda Werries.  three week sermon series entitled, “Using Wealth Wisely:
ADULT BIBLE CLASS Study in Genesis will start today. It will
be 16 short videos from “The Stuff They Didn’t Teach Me in
Sunday School” along with a couple of overviews from the
Bible Project. Clas will be in the Fellowship Hall.
CALL LIST – Wednesday we received a new call list with
eleven new names. They are on the counter in the kitchen
for review. The call committee is meeting this week. A call
meeting has been scheduled for Sunday, October 24th. Stay
tune for the time.
CHOIR PRACTICE on Wednesday evening at 7pm. We
invite anyone in high school or older to join us as we sing
His praise.
CIRCUIT PASTOR’S MEETING – The circuit pastor meeting
form last week was postponed to this week. They will meet
at Holy Cross in Golden from 8:30 - Noon
DOOR OFFERING - The door offering last week for LWML
totaled $249.00. Thank you for your support for missions.
HIGH SCHOOL & COLLEGE STUDENTS Nick Seibert is
starting a new program called Ambassadors. It is a Bible
Study Group for High School and College age. It will begin
October 12th and continue every Tuesday at 7:43pm in the
Youth Room. Any questions contact Nick Seibert.
KETTLE CORN- LWML is selling Muegge’s Delicious Kettle
Corn. $3 per bag. Great treat for your Halloween party! Pre-
orders taken Sun, Oct. 10 thru Sun, Oct. 17. Pick-up Sun,
Oct. 24
MIDWEEK BIBLE CLASSES The women’s group meets at
9:30 on Tuesday and the men’s study meets on Thursday at
9:30. They are studying Max Lucado’s book, “You’ll Get
Through This.” The book is described with these words:
“Though these unprecedented and challenging times may
bring a load of uncertainty and fear that feels too heavy to

MISSION TOWER IN THE NARTHEX- This month is going
to Lutheran Braille Workers.   STEWARDSHIP SENTENCES - Hebrews 3:18-19 – “And to
HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH- Our monthly meetings are back!!
Who is invited? ALL High School Youth. Each month there
will be different type of meeting or activity taking place on
the last Sunday of each month, Please make plans to join us
for our first one as we help Nick Seibert with a Haunted
House 1420 S 16th Street Sunday, October 31st 5-p pm. All
donations are going to the #BeLikeGrace Foundation. More
information coming soon!
SERVANTS NEEDED - Last week we made you aware of
some needs for the Kronsbein family. This week Glenn
Boettger volunteered to help in any way he could. He is,
however, looking for someone with experience to lead the
way. So we are in need of more volunteers. If you are
willing to help this family please contact the church office.
The list of their needs includes: various weather proofing of

home and minor home repair. In addition they have ordered
a new table because the previous table was too tall for
James’ wheelchair. The table is in and ready to be picked
up. It does need to be paid for. The cost is $238. In
addition that has been some willingness to help pay for a
new recliner. They do not have one picked out and we do
not have a cost on that. If you would be willing to help with
the cost of these items please stop by the church office. We
are also in need of someone willing to help deliver the table
and recliner.

SERVING IN THE MILITARY Douglas Swanson (son of Tim

SUNDAY SCHOOL CONNECTION- This week’s lesson is “A
Servant’s Mission.” Abraham tasks a faithful servant with
finding a wife for Isaac from Abraham’s homeland. The
servant prays for a sign and waits at a well outside the city
of Nahor. Rebekah appears, offering to draw water for both
man and beast—the sign the servant had asked for.
Rebekah invites the servant to come to her family home.
Having received gifts from Abraham, Rebekah’s family sends
her to Isaac with their blessings.
