WORKING FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

The rapid economic growth observed in the last two decades has taken a toll on the health of the
environment. Sustainable development is the need of the hour. Sustainable development provides
an approach to making better decisions on the issues that affect our lives. Let’s find better ways
of doing things, both for the future and the present.

Students are required to choose one of the following topics for a research based project on
Sustainable Development. They need to identify the problem in their area and provide solution to
the identified problem.

1. Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure – How to build resilient infrastructure, promote

inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation?
2. Responsible Consumption and Production – How to ensure sustainable consumption and
production patterns?
3. Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions –How to promote peaceful and inclusive societies
for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective,
accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels?

The students need to integrate their knowledge of Science, Mathematics, Social Science and
Languages to provide solution for the problem identified by them.

The Project Report is to be written under the following headings-

1. Identification of the problem
2. Objective
3. Description
4. Hypothesis of the solution
5. Survey/Research Work
6. Observations
7. Conclusion

Students must write the Project Report in their own handwriting and submit the Pdf of the
same on MOODLE by 15th January 2022.
