MULTIPLE CHOICE
STRATEGY
- We always aware and we expect that every time we have a test
or exam, Multiple choice will appear in the very beginning of our
test. We all know that taking test has a limited time to answer all
of the question, so we need to be careful enough to calculate your
time to answer One question.
- If you answer the test you should read the instructions and then
read the first question and all of the given choices, then find the
best and the second of the best, and you can eliminate those
choices that is not related to the question so that you can able to
pick the best and right answer from all of the question.
- It means that we should read and answer the question that we
find easy before the harder ones. We can skip the question that we
don’t know or we find it difficult to answer so you will not be
allotted most of your time in that question.
- If you answer the test you should read the instructions and then
read the first question and all of the given choices, then find the
best and the second of the best, and you can eliminate those
choices that is not related to the question so that you can able to
pick the best and right answer from all of the question.
- There are many tips how to get the best and correct answer, but
you need to evaluate, read the question and all of the given
choices, eliminate the choices that is not related to the question
and what ever is the remaining choices just read again and able to
think what is the meaning of that so that you can choose what
will be the answer from that question.
- Always be aware to double check your answer, read at least two
times and think carefully on your answer.
- Don’t think that if you don’t know the answer on a specific
questions, just try to skip then find the question that you know
and you can answer in small period of time so that you have more
time to answer those question that you find difficult.
EDUCATED GUESSING
STRATEGIES
Guessing strategies are a risky way to use in taking your tests because
it does not guarantee correct answers more than actually knowing it.
However, this kind of strategy can be used when you have no other
options left, instead of making an unnecessary guess, we should at
least be thoughtful in using this. It will help us narrow down the
choices in our tests and enable us to choose a more reasonable
answer that may result in higher grades than what is expected.

·Frequency of occurrence strategy, the key is to look for items that

appear in more than one of the choices. This gives us a clue that
the choices are just a mixture of the correct answer jumbled all
together to start a confusion between the test takers.
·Root and prefix clues strategy helps us in gleaning a partial
meaning of certain words that are being asked in the question. It
is also important to know about the negatives prefixes because it
can help in selecting a similar answer with a negative meaning.
·“X” substitution strategy in math; In computational problems,
when solving for x, it sometimes simplifies the problem by
substituting a known quantity such as “2” for x.
·Highest and lowest numbers strategy, since numerical options
vary greatly, chances are that the best response is in the middle
ranges so you should eliminate the highest and lowest options.
·Similar Choice strategy, these strategy uses a clue to help you
choose one of the two similar answers. The clue is that the
questions have answers that are closely related or almost
identical, except for one detail.
·Opposite Choice strategy, sometimes the best choice is identified
between two different and totally opposite choices that provides
us with the common sense that the correct answer is found
between them and eliminates other irrelevant choices.
·The "Umbrella Option" strategy, refers to choosing the option that
compasses the other options or is more inclusive.
