What I’m looking for (WILF)
SUCCESS CRITERIA 1. Pupils can read a crime story and identify who the killer could be.
2. Pupils can match 6 out of 7 sentences to fit 6 gaps in the crime story.
ACTIVITIES
1. Pupils look at Activity 2 on page 69 of the Student’s Book and try to solve the mystery.
PRE-LESSON
2. Pupils listen to teacher explaining the vocabulary in terms of steps in photography.
3. Pupils turn to page 70 and read the title “Whodunnit?” and discuss as a class what it
means.
4. Pupils skim read the crime story to identify who the killer could be and later discuss as a
class.(Main Skill)
5. Pupils read the Download box and a few are chosen to explain the tip in his or her own
words.
6. Pupils read the instructions and 7 sentences in Activity 3.
7. Pupils match 6 out of 7 sentences to fit 6 gaps in the crime story. (Complementary Skill)
LESSON DEVELOPMENT 8. Pupils check their answers in pairs before checking as a class.
9. Pupils read the instructions, words in the orange box and the 6 sentences in Activity 4.
10. Pupils complete 6 sentences using the words in the orange box with the correct form of the
words.
11. Pupils check their answers in pairs before checking as a class.
Differentiated Actvities:
Less proficient pupils: Pupils work in pairs to complete Activity 3 and Activity 4 instead of
individually.
More proficient pupils: -
1. Pupils review their learning in this lesson by playing a game of play Pictionary on the
whiteboard.
POST-LESSON 2. The class is divided into 2, and a pupil volunteers to draw a picture on the board to describe
a word given by the teacher. The class has to guess the word. The half that guesses the
word first gets the point. The volunteer can choose a new volunteer.
