This amendment forms a part of MIL-E-1/4H dated 4 February 1981, and is

approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense.

Preamble: delete “MIL-E-1” and substitute “MIL-PRF-1”. Delete last two lines and substitute:

Delete: “Quality conformance inspection” and substitute “Conformance inspection” (5 places). Delete
“AQL (PERCENT DEFECTIVE)” and substitute “Acceptance level (see note 11)”. Delete entire
“Inspection level or code” column.

NOTE 1: delete “MIL-E-1” and substitute “MIL-PRF-1”.

NOTE 6: Delete Last sentence entirely. NOTE 7 (a): delete “not more than one defective” and delete
“not more than a total of two defectives” and substitute for each “no defectives”. NOTE 9: delete and
substitute “9. The life-test sample shall consist of the lesser of 20 tubes or 10% of lot size and no tube
failures shall be permitted.” Add the following note: “11. This specification utilizes an accept on zero
defect sampling plan in accordance with MIL-PRF-1, table III”. Change concluding material to correspond
as follows:
