THE HEROES OF FAITH (Con nued)
Daniel (Belteshazzar), Hannaniah (Shadrach), Mishael (Meshach),
and Azariah (Abed-Nego) were ready to die faithfully to their faith
rather than denounce it in the face of threat and persecu on.
Later in the me of Darius the Medes, governors, administrators
and special advisors plo ed against Daniel to have him devoured
by hungry lions. Daniel, fully aware of this con nued his custom of
praying three mes a day in trust of the God he served faithfully.
Once more, God's faithful character never altered and shall never
alter even today. He saved Daniel from the hungry lions, instead
when his accusers and their families were cast into the den, they
were seized in mid-air; u erly devoured even before they landed in
the den.
The Bible tes fies that the forebears of faith obtain good tes mony
by faith (Heb. 11:2, 39).
The following are some ways faith is demonstrated as recorded in

8. Isaac and Jacob blessed their children for the future by faith even
at the point of death (Heb. 11:20)

The situa on and condi ons under which we should demonstrate
our faith today are not so different from our forebears. From

tested daily.
You and I are admonished by the Holy Scripture to look unto Jesus

hold unto our faith in all circumstances with Christ as our
