METHOD OF RESEARCH: DESCRIPTIVE RESEARCH

JUSTIFICATION: Type of research is descriptive. Descriptive research is a


design to depict the participants in an accurate way. This design was considered
appropriate because it allows to collect relevant data on the research variables
and analyses them using the appropriate techniques. It also allows to examine the
existing relationship between the dependent variable (Employee’s performance)
and the independent variable (Work stress).

needs, and the supportiveness of work–family organizational culture).

can be conducted by closed-ended survey questions that focused on the basic

METHOD OF RESEARCH: QUALITATIVE RESEARCH
JUSTIFICATION: Assess the small hospitality enterprises’ resilience in
response to COVID-19 pandemic, and its impact on performance and ultimately
on sustainable tourism development. This addressed owner-manager perceptions
of operating status, e.g. expected recovery period and expected pandemic end
date.

The upper-level managers are satisfied to their job in the areas of Quality of work, Social
Satisfaction, Team work and Work Environment and they perceive it as strength. Moreover, they
are satisfied to some extent on their job in the areas of Productivity, Professionalism and Personal
Growth and they perceive it as a weakness.
