PM Task Assignment

Retailer ABC Ltd operates both offline stores and eCommerce sites (omni-channel) at
massive scale. It has been observed that omnichannel customers tend to buy more overall
than either offline- or online-only customers. ABC Ltd would like to promote repeatable
purchase behaviours that can be scaled in a predictable and cost-effective manner, hence
increasing customer lifetime value (LTV). Scalable digital solutions are preferred over those
that need investments in physical infrastructure at stores. You are the eCommerce product
manager, responsible for the Groceries desktop, mobile & app experiences, assigned to
strategize and implement omnichannel initiatives to improve customer LTV. Below are the
questions for you to contemplate on while you come up with solutions/answers:

• Articulate the vision, strategy and broad options available to increase LTV. !
• How will you go about understanding what needs to be done?
• Of the options, which specific initiative would you recommend ABC Ltd pursue first to
encourage repeat customers and why?
• For this initiative, come up with a prioritized list of functionality and metrics for both the
short- and long-term
• Come up with rough paper prototypes, flowcharts for the initiative as inputs to scrum
teams !
• What are the challenges you expect to face from inception to go-live and what are the
risk-mitigation strategies?
