DAILY FOOD HABITS OF OUR TEAM MEMBERS

a. Did you eat any meat/fish?

Ans- No, we did not eat any fish or meat. We usually have a pure vegetarian
diet on a regular weekday.
b. Which vegetables did you eat?
Ans- We ate vegetables like onions, potatoes, okra, French beans, spinach,
cabbage, carrots, cucumber; we also ate lentils and pulses.
c. Which fruits did you eat?
Ans- we ate apples, bananas, oranges, papaya, avocado. We also used
tomatoes in the preparation of food.

3. Explain how your food adds to the emission of CO2 . Which factors should
be taken into account if we want to calculate this emission?
Ans- The gas stove which we use to cook food causes emissions of greenhouse
gases such as Carbon Monoxide, Carbon Dioxide and Nitrogen Dioxide. Even
though we cannot completely stop using the gas stove, we can reduce the
amount of emission of these gases by keeping the stove on medium/ low flame
instead of high flame, and constantly checking for gas leaks and making sure
the stove isn’t accidentally left on.
