TITLE: BULLYING AND ITS EMOTIONAL EFFECTS

CHAPTER 1

1.1 Introduction of Bullying


Bullying is defined as a competitive conduct this is recurrent and

planned wherein a slow dominance exists among the only being

bullied and the bully themselves

“bullying is common in our society and has become a public health

emergency” (Muhammad Waseem (2021)).


1.2 Research Objective


To make sure student of UNIKL aware of common misconception

regarding bullies

To identify and qualify several factors-rate of bullying

To explain students that bullying has far-reaching effects extending

beyond school into the adult world


1.3 Thesis Statement
A previous study in Malaysia discovered a 49.2 percent prevalence rate of

bullies, indicating a severe public health concern that requires attention not

only because of the effects bullying has on people but also because of its

proclivity to continue even when bystanders are present

(Malewei, 2015; Sam, 2016; Zareck, 2017)


1.4 Purpose of study
The goal of this project is to investigate cyber bullying and to identify

several factors-rate of cyber bullying.

We want to learn more about the emotional effects of cyber bullying and

how we should deal with the problem.

This study aims to educate UNIKL students about common

misconceptions about bullies and, last but not least, to raise awareness

about cyberbullying.
1.5 Research Questions
i. What is the emotional effects of cyber bullying among UNIKL

students are?

ii. What can be done to address these issues experienced by UNIKL

students.

1.6 Significance of study


The goal of the study is to identify and qualify many elements that influence

the rate of cyberbullying

To raise public awareness about bullying.

Discusss about the victim's emotional impact and how the address should be

delivered

This study may be useful to other researchers who want to learn more about

cyberbullying.

3.2 Instrument
The instrument used to conduct the research study is a questionnaire.

Spread through Whatsapps

Online survey used is Google Form

Questionnaire divided into 3 part:

i. demographic

ii. part A: emotional effects

iii. part B: ways to address the issue


3.3 Procedure
Divide into 3 section

Make the question and answers then discuss with lecturer

Make a google form

Blast Whatsapps

Conduct this study based on percentages and graph method


3.4 Data Analysis


The study was conducted via questionnaires that were self-administered and

distributed online to the University Kuala Lumpur student’s

The data collected from 69 students with period of ten days for this total of

respondents.

The questionnaire was divided into three main sections

The sections for our questionnaires include demographic characteristics,

causes and effects section
