did not “command” us to kindle the Sabbath lights, it is preferred to say “...for whom we kindle”.

V'SHAMRU
The sons of Israel shall observe the Sabbath to celebrate the
Sabbath throughout their generations as an everlasting covenant.
It is a sign between Me and the sons of Israel forever;
for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth,
but on the seventh day He ceased, and was refreshed.

Ma Tovu
How goodly are your tents, O Jacob, your dwelling places,
O Israel. YAHWEH, through Your abundant kindness I will
enter Your house; in awe of You I will bow down toward
Your holy sanctuary. YAHWEH, I love the house where You
dwell, and the place where Your Glory resides. I shall
prostrate myself and bow, I shall kneel before the Lord my
Maker. As for me, may my prayer to You, YAHWEH, be at
the right time; O God, in Your abundant kindness answer me
with the truth of Your salvation.

And it came to pass, whenever the ark moved on ahead,
Moses would say, "Arise YAHWEH, and scatter Your ene-
mies. May those who hate Your Name flee from before Your
Face.” For out of Zion shall go forth the Torah,
and the Word of YAHWEH out of Jerusalem.

Deuteronomy 6:5-9
And you shall love YAHWEH your God with all your heart and
with all your life and with all your strength. These command-
ments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress
them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home
and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and
when you get up. Tie them as reminders on your hands and
bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of
your houses and on your gates.

Deuteronomy 11:13-21
Numbers 15:37-41
Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them to make tzitzit
in the borders of their garments throughout their genera-
tions, and to put upon the tzitziyot of the borders a thread
of blue. And it shall be a tzitzit for you to look upon and
remember all the commandments of YAHWEH, and do
them; and that you follow not after your own eyes, with
which you used to go astray. That you may remember and
do all My commandments, and be holy to your God. I am
YAHWEH your God Who brought you out of the land of
Egypt to be your God. I am YAHWEH your God.

Behold, YAHWEH is my salvation; I will trust and will not be
afraid, for the Lord my God is my strength and my song, He
also has become my salvation. Therefore, with joy will we
draw water out of the wells of salvation. And in that day you
will say, “Halleluyah! Call upon His name. Declare His
deeds among the peoples, and proclaim that His Name is ex-
alted! Salvation belongs to YAHWEH; Your blessings will be
upon Your people. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of
Jacob is our Refuge. In the past the Jews had light and joy,
gladness and honor. So be it with us. I will lift up the cup of
salvation, and call upon the name of YAHWEH.

Glorified and sanctified be His great Name in the world, which
is created according to His will. May He give reign to His
kingship in your lifetime and in your days, and in the life of all
the house of Israel, speedily, yes, soon; and let us say, amain.
May His great Name be blessed forever eternally. Blessed and
praised, glorified and exalted, extolled and honored, adored
and lauded be the Name of the Holy One, blessed be He, Who
is high above, far above all blessings and hymns and praises
and consolations which are spoken in the world, and let us say,

May there be great peace from heaven, and life for us and for
all Israel, and let us say, amain.

HA ELOHIM ASHER
(Hebrews 1:1-3)
The help of our fathers are You from ages past. A Shield and
a Savior to their children after them in all generations.
Happy is the man who heeds Your commandments, Your To-
rah, and who places Your word upon his heart. It is true that
You are the Lord of Your people and the mighty King to
plead their case. It is true, You are the First and the Last,
and besides You we have no King, Redeemer and Savior.
From Egypt You redeemed us, YAHWEH our God, and from
the house of slavery You delivered us. All their first born You
slayed, and Your first born You redeemed. At the Red Sea
You divided and drowned the proud, but the beloved ones
You caused to pass through while the waters covered their
adversaries. You are High and Wonderful, Great and Awe-
some, Who brings low the proud and raises the humble, Who
brings forth the prisoners and delivers the meek and helps the
poor and answers His people in the time when they cry to
Him. Praise our exalted God! Blessed is He Who is to be
blessed! Moses and the people of Israel sang a song to You
with great joy. "Who is like You, YAHWEH among the gods;
who is like You, glorious in holiness, awesome in praises, do-
ing wonders."

ABRIDGED AMIDAH
and gather our dispersed from the four corners of the earth;
44
AMIDAH
YAHWEH, open my lips, that my mouth may tell forth Your
praise.
3. You are holy and Your Name is holy, and holy ones praise
Your Name every day. Blessed are You, YAHWEH, holy God.
45
5. Restore us, our Father, to Your Torah, and draw us, our
King to Your service. Cause us to return to You in complete
repentance before Your face. Blessed are You, YAHWEH,
Who is pleased with repentance.
6. Forgive us, our Father, for we have sinned. Pardon us, our
King, for we have transgressed. For You pardon and forgive.
Blessed are You, YAHWEH, gracious and every ready to for-
give.
9. Your blessings be upon us, YAHWEH our God, for this year
and for all kinds of produce. Give a blessing upon the face of
the land; satisfy us with Your goodness and bless our year as
the good years past. Blessed are You, YAHWEH, who blesses
the years.
10. Sound upon the great shofar, our freedom; raise the great
banner to gather our exiles, and assemble us together from
the four corners of the earth. Blessed are You, YAHWEH,
Who gathers the dispersed of Your people of Israel.
12. For slanderers, let there be no hope; and let all wicked-
46
ness perish immediately and all Your enemies be quickly cut
off. Quickly uproot and crush the arrogant; cast them down
and humble them speedily in our days. Blessed are You,
YAHWEH, Who breaks enemies and humbles the arrogant.
13. Upon the righteous and upon the pious, and upon the
elders of Your people of the house of Israel, and upon the
remnant of their sages, and upon the righteous sojourners,
and upon us, may You show compassion. YAHWEH our God,
give a good reward to all who trust in Your Name in truth,
and may our part be with them. Forever may we not be
ashamed, for in You we trust. Blessed are You, YAHWEH,
Stay and Trust of the righteous.
16. Hear our voice, YAHWEH, spare us and have mercy on us;
receive in mercy and favor our prayer, because You are a
God Who hears prayer and supplication. From Your pres-
ence, our King, do not dismiss us empty handed, for You hear
the prayers of Your people Israel in mercy. Blessed are You,
YAHWEH, Who hears prayer.
17. Be pleased, YAHWEH, with Your people Israel and with
their prayer, and restore the service to Your holy house; re-
ceive in love the prayers of the people of Israel. May the ser-
vice of Your people Israel be forever pleasing to You. May
our eyes behold Your return to Zion with mercy. Blessed are
You, YAHWEH, Who returns Your presence to Zion.
47
18. We thank You, for You, YAHWEH, are our fathers’ God
for all eternity, our Rock, our Shield that saves through every
generation. We thank You and declare Your praise for all
Your tender care. We trust our lives into Your loving hand.
We are always in Your keeping; Your wonders and miracles
are with us daily, evening, morning and noon. O You, Who
are all-good; Whose mercies never fail us, Compassionate
One, Whose faithful love never ceases, we ever hope in You.
And for all these blessings, may Your Name be exalted, our
King, forever and to all generations. All the living shall thank
You and praise Your Name faithfully, the God of salvation
and deliverance. Blessed are You, YAHWEH, Whose Name is
good, and to Whom it is pleasant to give thanks.
19. Grant peace, goodness, blessing, grace, kindness and
mercy upon us and upon all Israel Your people. Bless us, our
Father, all of us as one, with the light of Your face. For in the
light of Your face You gave to us, YAHWEH, the Torah of life
and love and kindness, and righteousness, and blessing and
mercy, and life and peace. May it be good in Your eyes to
bless Your people Israel at all times and in all years with
Your shalom. Blessed are You, YAHWEH, Who blesses Your
people Israel with shalom.
48
YAHWEH, guard my lips from evil
and my tongue from speaking deceit.
May the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight,
YAHWEH, my Strength and my Redeemer.
You Who establishes shalom in the heavens,
grant shalom to us and to all Israel. Amain.
49
THE TRUTH OF SHABBAT
The people of Isra'el are to keep the Shabbat, to observe
Shabbat through all their generations as a perpetual cove-
nant. It is a sign between me and the people of Isra'el for-
ever; for in six days YAHWEH made heaven and earth, but
on the seventh day he stopped working and rested.
(Exodus 31:16-17)
Shabbat, from the word ‘to rest,' was given to Jew and non-
Jew for Oneg, joy, or delight. Isaiah said, “You shall call
Shabbat a delight.” (Isaiah 58:13) Oneg implies celebration,
sharing time with loved ones, leisurely meals with hospitality
and relaxation.
50
YESHUA, LORD OF THE SABBATH
(Responsively)
51
HEALING ON THE SABBATH DAY
Yeshua is the Lord of the Sabbath. Even so we come on
the Sabbath to be renewed in Him and to bring a sacrifice
of worship and praise that will be acceptable to YAHWEH.
As the Sabbath is a day of proclaiming liberation, so Ye-
shua invites us to come and be healed. He as well, by
teaching and example, made the Sabbath a day upon
which to give ourselves to heal the sick and restore others
in every aspect of their lives. Yeshua healed the man
born blind, the cripple by the pool, and the man in the
Synagogue with the withered hand. Even so, we come to
worship and to minister in His power.
FAITH CONFESSION
(Suggest standing, or “amidah”, as a posture of confident faith)
53
6. You, YAHWEH, have established Your worldwide fel-
lowship of all of Yeshua’s followers. They have been
grafted into the Jewish olive tree. This fellowship is
destined to be restored to power, unity, love, and a Jewish
rooted self-understanding. Through the prayers and
mercy of God’s people, through the Gospel message pro-
claimed by the restored bride of the Messiah, and
through the witness of the Netzari members of this fel-
lowship, You will effect the salvation of Israel, who will
call upon the name of Yeshua and be saved. Blessed are
You, YAHWEH, who has established Yeshua’s congrega-
tion and Israel’s salvation.
54
hands of the few. Against all odds, battles were repeatedly
won by Your faithful remnant. So those who were unfaith-
ful and were willing to forsake Your covenants were de-
posed and those who were faithful were established. The
Temple was rededicated with accompanying miracles. Of
this temple, it was said that its latter glory would eclipse its
former glory. Indeed, without the miracles of those days,
the word would not have been fulfilled. Indeed, Your
word was fulfilled and the Messenger of the Covenant, Ye-
shua the Messiah, came to the Temple. The lights that were
rekindled on that Feast of Dedication remind us of the One
who said, “I am the light of the world.” Yeshua, Who died
as our true Temple Sacrifice and Who is our Great High
Priest, rose from the dead. He is the light of Israel and the
light of the world. Blessed are You, YAHWEH, for the deliv-
erance of Israel in the days of the Macabees.
55
PRAYER FOR THE PEACE OF ISRAEL
(responsively)
May the light of the Good News of Yeshua the Messiah gain
favor and understanding among our people in the land of our
fathers.
Remove the blindness from our leaders and those who un-
knowingly oppose the truth of the Messiah Yeshua.
Let the day come in which our leaders will call upon the name
of Yeshua, ending centuries of anxiety and dispersion.
56
A SCRIPTURE PRAYER FOR
THE LAST DAYS
(responsively)
Blessed are You, YAHWEH our God and God of our fa-
thers, God of Abraham, God of Isaac, and God of Jacob,
the God and Father of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, the
God who fulfills Your word in these days. As it is said:
57
Yeshua. For if their stumbling resulted in the reconciling of
the world, what will their acceptance (of Messiah) mean for
the world? Life from the dead! (Romans 11)
58
Fulfill Your word in these last days.
And Yeshua shall be King over all the earth. In that day it
shall be – YAHWEH is one, and His name one … Everyone
who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem
shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord
of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. (Zechariah 14)
59
GOD’S ETERNAL PROMISES TO ISRAEL
(responsively)
I will make you a great nation … I will bless those who bless
you and curse him who curse you; and in you all the families
of the earth will be blessed. (Genesis 12:2-3)
Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I
will not cast them away, nor shall I abhor them to utterly de-
stroy them and break My covenant with them; for I am the
Lord their God. (Leviticus 26:44)
It shall come to pass in that day that the Lord shall set His
hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His
people who are left. (Isaiah 11:11)
The days are coming, says YAHWEH, that they shall no longer
say, “The Lord lives Who brought up the children of Israel
from the land of Egypt,” but “As the Lord lives Who brought
up the children of Israel from the land of the north and from
all the lands where I had driven them.” And they shall dwell in
their own land. (Jeremiah 16:14-15)
60
He has remembered His covenant forever, the word which He
commanded for a thousand generations … saying, “To you I
will give the land of Canaan as the allotment of your inheri-
tance.” (Psalm 105: 8, 11)
I will put my Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place
you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord,
have spoken it and performed it.” (Ezekiel 37:14)
May the God of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, the Father of
glory, give to us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the
knowledge of Him,
And seated Him at His right hand far above all principality and
power and might and dominion.
61
made us alive together with Messiah (by grace we have been
delivered), and raised us up together in the heavenly places
in Messiah Yeshua,

BLESSINGS OVER THE PEOPLE
(One or more of the following blessings may be proclaimed)
(Numbers 6:24-26)
YAHWEH bless you and keep you. YAHWEH make His face
shine upon you, and be gracious to you; YAHWEH lift up
His countenance upon you, and give you peace.
(2 Corinthians 2:14-15)
But thanks be to YAHWEH, Who in the Messiah constantly
leads us in a triumphal procession and through us spreads
everywhere the fragrance of what it means to know him!
For to God we are the aroma of the Messiah, both among
those being saved and among those being lost.
(Mathew 28:19-20)
As all authority has been given to Yeshua, so I repeat His
charge to you with the assurance of His ability in you;
Therefore, go and make people from all nations into disci-
ples, immersing them into the reality of the Father, the Son
and the Ruach haKodesh, and teaching them to obey
everything that I have commanded you. And remember! I
will be with you always, yes, even until the end of the age.”
(2 Timothy 1:6-8)
For this reason I am reminding you to fan the flame of
God’s gift, which you received through the laying on of
hands. For YAHWEH gave us a Spirit Who produces not
timidity, but power, love and self-discipline. So don’t be
63
ashamed of bearing testimony to our Lord. On the contrary,
accept your share in suffering disgrace for the sake of the
Good News. God will give you the strength for it.
(Ephesians 1:17-20)
The God of our Lord, Yeshua the Messiah, the glorious Fa-
ther, may He give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation, so
that you will have full knowledge of Him. I pray that He will
give light to the eyes of your hearts, so that you will under-
stand the future to which He has called you, what rich glo-
ries there are in the inheritance He has promised His peo-
ple, and how surpassingly great is His power working in us
who trust Him. It works as the same mighty strength He
used when He raised Messiah from the dead and seated Him
at His right hand in heaven.
(Ephesians 3:16-19)
I pray that from the treasures of His glory He will empower
you with inner strength by His Spirit, so that the Messiah
may live in your hearts through your trusting. Also I pray
that you will be rooted and founded in love, so that you,
with all YAHWEH’s people, will be given strength to grasp
the breadth, length, height and depth of the Messiah’s love,
yes, to know it, even though it is beyond all knowing, so that
you will be filled with all the fullness of God.
(Ephesians 3:20-21)
Now to Him Who by His power working in us is able to do
far beyond anything we can ask or imagine, to Him be glory
in the Netzarim Community and in the Messiah Yeshua
from generation to generation forever. Amain.
(Hebrews 13:20-21)
The God of shalom brought up from the dead the great
Shepherd of the sheep, our Lord Yeshua, by the blood of an
eternal covenant. May God equip you with every good thing
you need to do His will; and may He do in us whatever
64
pleases Him, through Yeshua the Messiah. To Him be the
glory forever and ever. Amain.
(Joshua 1:6, Matthew 7:24-26)
And as you meditate on the Word of YAHWEH, be strong
and of good courage. Your way will be prosperous and you
will have good success. You will be like the wise man who
built his house upon a rock, the floods came, the rain and
the wind did blow upon that house, but it remained firm, for
it was founded upon a rock. Even so, remain founded on the
Rock of our salvation, Yeshua the Messiah.

BLESSING BEFORE TORAH STUDY
The Torah commands us to recite a special blessing over
the study of Torah before we begin.
Blessed art Thou, YAHWEH our God, King of the uni-
verse, who has made us holy through His commandments
and commanded us to actively study Torah.
Please YAHWEH, our God, sweeten the words of Your To-
rah in our mouths and in the mouths of all Your people
Israel. May we and our offspring, and the offspring of
Your people, the House of Israel, may we all, together,
know Your Name and study Your Torah for the sake of
fulfilling Your desire.
Blessed are You, YAHWEH, Who teaches Torah to His
people Israel.
Blessed are You, YAHWEH our God, King of the universe,
Who chose us from all the nations and gave us the Torah.
Blessed are You, YAHWEH, Giver of the Torah.

DECLARATIONS OF TRUTH
1. I recognize that there is only one true and living God Who
reveals Himself as Av (Father), Ben (Son) and Ruach
HaKodesh (Holy Spirit). I acknowledge He is not a “trinity”
but, rather, Echad. He is worthy of all honor, praise and
glory as the One Who made all things and holds all things to-
gether. (Exodus 20:2-3; Colossians 1:16-17)
68
6. I believe that apart from Messiah I can do nothing, so I
declare my complete dependence on Him. I choose to abide
in Messiah in order to bear much fruit and glorify my
Father. I announce that Yeshua is my Savior. I reject any
and all counterfeit gifts or works of the evil one in my life.
(John 15:5, 8; 1 Corinthians 12:3)
7. I believe that the truth will set me free and that Yeshua is
the truth. If He sets me free, I will be free indeed. I recog-
nize that walking in the light is the only path of true fellow-
ship between God and man. Therefore, I stand against all of
the evil one’s deception by taking every thought captive in
obedience to Messiah. I declare that the Holy Scriptures are
the only authoritative standard for truth and life.
(John 8:32, 36; 14:6; 2 Corinthians 10:5; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 John 1:3-7)
10. I renounce all selfish goals and choose the ultimate goal
of love. I choose to obey the two greatest commandments: to
love YAHWEH with all my heart, soul, mind and strength,
and to love my neighbor as myself. I obey the command to
submit to YAHWEH and resist the evil one.
(Deuteronomy 6:5; Matthew 22:37-39; 1 Timothy 1:5; James 4:7)

PRAYERS OF CONFESSION
Regarding Rebellion
70
Prayer to Begin the Day
Thank You for the life I now have in Messiah Yeshua. I ask
You to fill me with the Holy Spirit so I may say ‘no’ to sin
and ‘yes’ to You. I declare my total dependence upon You,
and I take my stand against the evil one and all his lying
ways. I choose to believe the truth of Your word despite
what my feelings and emotions may say. I refuse to be dis-
couraged; You are the God of all hope. Nothing is too
difficult for You. I am confident that You will supply all my
needs as I seek to live according to Your word. I thank You
that I can be content and live a responsible life through
Messiah Who strengthens me.
I now take my stand against the evil one and command him
and all his cohorts to depart from me. I choose to put on the
full armor of God so that I might be able to stand firm
against his schemes. I submit my body as a living and holy
sacrifice to You, my God, and I choose to renew my mind by
the living Word of God. By doing so I will be able to prove
that the will of God is good, acceptable and perfect for me. I
ask all of this in the name of my Lord, Yeshua.
71
Prayer to End the Day
As I have thought about You and Your truth during the day,
I choose to let those good thoughts continue in my mind while
I am asleep. I commit myself to You for Your protection
against every attempt of the evil one to attack me during
sleep. Guard my mind from nightmares. I renounce all fear
and cast every worry upon You, Lord. I commit myself to
You as my Rock, my Fortress and my Strong Tower. May
Your shalom be upon this place of rest. In the strong name of
Yeshua my Messiah.
72
Prayer to Overcome Anxiety

The Netzarim Faith
... is the belief In YAHWEH, the God of Abraham, Isaac and
Jacob. We believe His Son Yeshua is YAHWEH-Come-in-the-
Flesh and the Redeemer spoken of in the Jewish Bible. We be-
lieve that He is the Messiah for whom Jewish people all over
the world, and throughout history have been waiting for.

This siddur was developed at no cost to you. Please share it
with all you know who are seeking to know YAHWEH and who
desire to know Him and obey his will. It is so abundantly clear in
the Bible that this is the best kept secret of the Messiah—that he
came to give us eternal life. And eternal life is this: to know the
Messiah and to know YAHWEH (John 17:2-3).
