“SINGING COMPETITION”

This activity is not only for entertainment but also it showcases the talents of every contestant
through singing. Every contestant’s shows their amazing voice when it comes in singing. This
competition composes of two categories the vocal solo and vocal duet. Every contestants can pick their
own genre so that they can express their feelings very well and to make them comfortable to sing the song
that they want. Each year should have at least one participant in vocal and also one pair participant for
duet to represent their Year level. This event is exclusive for BSOA student only.

Last November 14, 2019 I witness the fantastic voice of every contestant when it comes in
singing. I witness how they manage their songs, how they build their confidence, how they deliver their
songs very well and how passionate they are when singing. They really do their best to make their
performance perfect and to entertain their audience.

Joining this competition needs self-confidence to avoid shaky when you are already in front of
many people. As I ask my friend who joins in that competition what she really feel during that event. She
said, she was really nervous because it’s her first time joining in a singing competition and she is not
accustomed to many people. Aside from that she is also nervous to the judge especially the chief judge
who won silver- medallist in Performing arts. She was just really doing her best to deliver her songs very
well because once she felt tension her body and mental state will be affected and also it can affect to her
performance. She also said that their prize is too lower than she expected.

That contest was great but I saw the biggest problem of that event is the venue and the designs.
Maybe next time they can improve their venue where their contestants and the audience are comfortable.
Their designs are too simple it seems that they are unprepared. As a student of BSOA I recommend that
next year if they have this kind of event the organizers should prepare one month before the events to
avoid cramming and dis appointments from the students.

Therefore, I conclude that the event was nice however the problem of that event needs to be
focused next year. Opinion of the students are important so I suggest to the Junior Executive Council
(JEC) the organizers of this event they should set meeting to all Bachelor of Science and Office
Administration students to ask or gather opinion the designs and the venue of the event to be held.
