To be Submitted to: Mr. Jonathan B. Julito

CHAPTER I A. Title of the Project
Water is the most important element and universal solvent of the human
existence. It occupies 97% of the Earth’s entire size so that we don’t die and will continue to thrive.
However, as time becomes rigid for the environment mainly because of man-
made causes, it decreases the chance to sustain a living-things. Thus, distribution of clean and safe water
is the main problem nowadays even though there is a water supply system in a community.

Every problem has a solution so the Group 8 (MWF) of Mathematics, Science, and
Technology. Our group had come up with a good idea and project that we want to propose it to the
honorable persons and organizations. We proudly present our project proposal’s titled,
“W.A.T.E.R.S”. The W.A.T.E.R.S stands for Water-wise Adaptation Through Timeless and Efficient
Reservoir Sustainability. We chose this because water pollution has been a destruction to Barangay
Panarayon (chosen community) and we want to prove that the project is powerful and life-saving
especially to the next generation. It is our way to reconnect nature and public figures so that they
will acknowledge the importance of natural resources to a life as well as to determine the
boundary of human and nature through our resilient and systematic project proposal to an ever-
changing society.

D. Site of Implentations

We chose Barangay Panarayon as the site of implementations because the

geographical features and specifications of the said community are suitable to our
criteria.

Criteria:

• Near the sea/shoreline

• Less Barangay funds
• Numerous water sources that can be discover
• Multiple usage of the source (irrigation, livelihood, emergency situations, etc.)

According to PhilAtlas, this are the data of the barangay:

Type Barangay
Island group Luzon
Region Bicol Region (Region V)
Province Albay
Municipality Bacacay
Postal code 4509
Population (2020) 2,097
Philippine major island(s) Luzon
Coordinates 13.3063, 123.7796 (13° 18’ North, 123° 47’ East)
Estimated elevation
above sea level 9.6 meters (31.5 feet)
E. Target Dates

The chosen target date/s will be on January 1 to 31 of 2022. As per the advice of
honorable barangay captain Mr. Elias Bañares, we decided to be on this said date for
only one important and safe reason: the environment and weather are perfect to start a
geographical survey and man-made construction.

CHAPTER 2

RATIONALE

The project would be associated to current national efforts to address the issue of ongoing
coastal water pollution. Bacterial pollution will cause water contamination, resulting in poor
water quality. If the problem is not addressed and people continue to rely on senior officials, it
will worsen and make it more difficult for them to recover. Our proposal "W.A.T.E.R.S." is a
long-term project that conducts a clean-up drive to assist barangays that are vulnerable to
floods.
The event will be held in Barangay Panarayon Bacacay, Albay. This barangay is prone
to flooding during typhoons and even heavy rains. Because it is prone to flooding, the garbage
that is scattered in the sea has a significant impact on the incomes of nearby residents. This
project is ideal for this area in order to sustain their livelihood and natural reservoirs because
the capacity or scope of assessment and work production is complicated, necessitating the
need for a timeless project that is also efficient. The program will train community volunteers to
become leaders in the community by training them how to care for their water resources.
CHAPTER 3

OBJECTIVES

This project's solution is to address the following issues in Barangay Panarayon, Bacacay, Albay. The
activity we propose is the Clean Up Drive, with the following objectives:
1. To clean and reconstruct all the waterways that result from calamities and man-made causes.
2. To restore the barangay's safe and healthy water resources.
3. To encourage residents of Barangay Panarayon to participate in programs and seminars aimed
to reduce garbage that contributes to water pollution in the area.
