16.1 Teaching-Learning Evaluation:
Students are required to complete a questionnaire online to evaluate the teacher’s
instruction and their learning during the course. Students are also required to complete a
questionnaire in which to rate the materials they have learnt as well as give comments
and suggestions on how the course should be improved.
16.2 Discussion Promoting Desirable Attributes of CU Graduates:
This course is designed to improve students’ speaking and presentation skills in
English. It emphasizes oral communication for future education and employment. The
instructors apply flipped classroom approach where students are required to study some
online materials on their own before attending the class to further discuss and/or practice
the skills. Moreover, the communicative approach is applied leading to the promotion of
collaborative work as well as improvement of the English communication and presentation
skills. Students are encouraged to become independent learners through assignments of
self-study tasks. All the skills taught should benefit their present studies and assist them
in further study in the future.
