2 Parameter settings
Note: The stepper drive SD326 is an amplifier without software or firmware. To set the parameters please
take a look in the schematics

2.1 Overview

Important:
Switch all supply voltages off before making any settings to S1 or S2. Make sure that power is no
longer connected (safety instructions).

S1 set step number with S1.1 – 1.3

S1 S1.4 – 1.8 parameter settings
S2 Turn switch to set the motor current

2.2 Set Step number S1.1-S1.3

Switch all supply voltages off before making any settings (make sure that power is no longer
connected)
Set with parameter switch S1.1 to 1.3 the number of steps

2.3 Parameter settings with S1.4 - S1.8

S 1.4 (current reduction): If the full holding torque is not required at standstill, the "current reduction"
function can be used to reduce the holding torque. Motor and electrics heat up
less and the efficiency is improved.

S 1.5 (release type): The release type can be set with parameter switch S1.5 (Parameter of input:
„Gate/Enable“ )

S 1.6 (interface mode): The interface mode can be set with parameter switch S1.6.

"PULSE/DIR": The motor does a step with the rising edge of the signal PULSE.
The direction of rotation is controlled with the signal DIR.

"CW/CCW" With the rising edge of the signal CW does the motor a positive
step, with the signal CCW a negative.

S 1.7 (softstep): When the function is enabled the signals to the signal interface ("PULSE/DIR"
or "CW/CCW") are internally smoothed. This allows the motor to run much
more smoothly, particularly at lower speeds or a coarse reference value input.
During a motor movement a temporary position deviation occurs. The
magnitude of the position deviation depends on the speed.

S 1.8 (rotation monitoring): On devices with rotation monitoring the parameter switch S1.8 can be used to
disabled the rotation monitoring.
