REFLECTION PAPER

Chapter 24 of El FIlibusterismo shows the two kinds of youth, there are those

who care about their country and the other for those who only care of themselves. In

this novel, Rizal uses Isagani that represents the Filipino youth who has dreams of

development and eminence for their beloved country.

The moral we could get in this chapter is that it is important to value the

significance of one's own origin. This chapter has educated me that there are different

kinds of people according to their dreams and purpose in life. We are different in the

way we hold out our dreams in life. Dreams give us a goal that drives us to have the

determination and bravery to achieve what we want to be achieved. This gives me an

inspiration to do the best just to achieve the dream of what you always wanted in life.

Dreaming is not just about dreaming, we have to think of being the best to achieve that

certain thing in life you have in which you want have set your goals on.

In chapter 39 of El Filibusterismo it shows that we have to be good, honest, and

honorable until the day we die. In the end, goodness still prevails in this chapter Simoun

confesses his true identity. He asked the priest why God did not help him to carry out

plan. Padre Florintino's answer was because his method was bad. Simoun accepted

what the priest said. This shows that we must be good for the end to be good. In this

chapter, I would think about the well-being of a good person and how a showing a good

conduct can affect your life in the future; there would be doors of opportunity that could

look after to open undoubtedly when we are good to peoples.
