1. Explain briefly each dimension of Mcdonaldization. Give concrete

examples for each, then explain how it becomes a kind of which
dimension. (20pts)

The first, efficiency, refers to the best way to complete a task. In

McDonaldization, efficiency means that every area of the business is focused
on reducing time waste. From the standpoint of the customer, efficiency refers
to the quickest route to go from hunger to full.

The second factor, calculability, refers to fast-food restaurants' definable

goals. According to McDonaldization, quantity equals quality, and a huge
number of product given to a consumer in a short period of time implies a
high-quality product. This allows individuals to compare and contrast what
they're getting vs what they're spending. Workers in these companies are
graded on how quickly they complete tasks rather than the quality of their
work. Increased volume does not imply a greater range of options.

Third, predictability is the assumption that a person would receive the same
service and product every time they interact with the McDonaldized
organization no matter where they travel. This is also true for the employees
of those businesses. Their responsibilities are extremely repetitious, routine,
and predictable. For instance, he music industry ensures that they make the
music industry predictable. For instance, when you are in America and you
eat hamburgers from McDonald’s, you expect to have the same Hamburger
when you go to McDonald’s in Philippines making it predictable

Fourth, employees get standardized and replaced by non-human technologies

when they are under control. For instance, You must join the queue to be
served as soon as a client enters the restaurant. You can't just sit down and
wait for your dinner to arrive. Before you can have your food, you must join
the queue, place your order, and wait for your number to be called.
