Concentrate (MTC) is a uniquely blended
petroleum based formula that is

POLYTRON METAL TREATMENT CONCENTRATE (MTC) INDUSTRIAL
COMMERCIAL APPLICATIONS

1. As an Additive to Motor Oils

Can be used as an additive to a variety of motor oils (10% by volume) that meet and
exceed industry and engine manufacturers’ performance requirements and API
Service Classification SJ/CG-4:

1.1 High performance crankcase oils for Diesel Engines in:

* Single Grade motor oils:

SAE 10W, 20W, 30W, 40W and SAE 50W, Exceeding API Service Classification:
SJ, CG-4, CF-2

* Multigrade heavy duty Motor Oils:

SAE 5W-30, 10W-30, 10W-40, 15W-40, 20W-40/50, recommended for four cycle
Diesel and Gasoline engines operating in both normal and severe service and
subjected to wide variation in climatic conditions, exceeding major diesel engine
manufacturers’ requirements: Mack EO-L PLUS ; Mack EO-L; Volvo VDS;
Caterpillar; Cummins; Detroit Diesel (4-cycle); Navistar; Allison C4; Vickers
Pump Test.

Manufacturers’ performance requirements: Chrysler MS 6395-G; Ford ESE-M2C


153-E; General Motors GM 6094-M.

2. As an additive to Transmission and Torque Fluids (5-10% in volume):

2.1. Transmission Fluids.

2.1.1. Under Ford Specifications M2C33-F and M2C138-CJ

2.1.2. Automatic Transmission Fluids that meet or exceed the following


requirements: General Motors DEXRON-III, Ford MERCON, Diamler-Benz, Allison
C4 Fluid and Voith DIWA Transmissions, for use in passenger cars and light trucks

2.1.3. Fluids meeting Caterpillar TO-4, TO-2 or Ellison C4.

Those are recommended for use in Caterpillar transmissions, final drives (SAE
50/60W viscosity grade), Allison Power shift transmissions (SAE 30W viscosity
grade), torque converters (SAE 10W viscosity grade) and hydraulic systems (SAE
10W viscosity grade). All in heavy duty applications.

2.1.4. Synthetic transmission fluids recommended for use in Eathon Road ranger


and Rockwell transmissions. Meets and exceeds the requirement of Rockwell 0-81
and Eaton PS-081 specifications.

2.2. Torque Fluids

 2.2.1. For use in Allison Powershift transmissions.


 2.2.2. Torque converters requiring Allison Type C4 fluid.
 2.2.3. Heavy-duty truck and tractor automatic transmissions.
3. As an additive to Tractor hydraulic fluids.

ISO 150, 220, 320 oils. in Extreme Temperature Bearing, Circulating Oil Systems,
Gear Boxes, Dryer Section Accessories, Moisture Profiler, Calendar Rolls, Crown
Control Rolls, High Temperature Air Compressors, High Pressure Hydraulic Pumps.

5. As an additive to Industrial Oils (10% in volume):

5.1. As an additive to mineral and synthetic compressor oils (ISO 32, 68, 100)
for:

 - Portable and stationary rotary vane and screw compressors.


 - single stage , two stage, and multistage reciprocating compressors from but
not limited to Ingersoll-Rand, Quincy, Sullair, Atlas Copco and Gardner-
Denver

5.2. As an additive to Way Oils approved by Cincinnati Milacron under their p-


47 (ISO 68), and P-50(ISO 220) specifications for Way Lubricants in the
lubrication of:

 - ways in many types of machine tools, e.g., lathers, planers, shapers, drilling
and tapping machines including those where the loads can be very high.
 - enclosed gears.
 - Industrial plain and anti frictional bearings.
 - Lubrication of chain drives.

5.3. As an additive to Chain bar Oils for:

 - Chainsaws with either hand operated or automatic chain oilers to lubricate


the chain, bar and sprocket.
 - chain drivers on: straddle lift lumber carriers,
 motorcycle chains
 lawnmowers
 Farm equipment.

5.4. As an additive to Machine Oils, ISO 22, 32, 46, 68, 100, 150, (10%) in
volume) for:

 - reduction gears
 - reciprocating air compressors
 - plain and antifriction bearings
 - Electric motor bearings.
 - air compressors
 - high speed gears
 - All the machine oils that meet the AGMA Specifications 1, 2, 3, and 4 for
gear lubrication

5.5. As an additive to Knit Oils, ISO 22, 32 (5% in volume) for:

 - circular double-knit machines


 - circular single-knit
 - full-fashioned
 - Tricot and all other knitting machines.

5.6. As an additive to Handy oils for lubrication of:

 - Small electric motors such as used in household appliances, sewing


machines.
 - office equipment
 - garden tools
 - Door hinges and locks.

6. As an additive to Gear Oils (10% in volume)

6.1. Closed Gear Oils that meet API Service Classification GL-5, MIL-L-2105E
and all Mack requirements as GO-G/S and GO-H/S in the following
applications:

 - rear axles
 - transmissions
 - Differentials.
 - spiral bevel
 - power dividers
 - Oil lubricated steering axle wheel bearings.

6.2. Enclosed industrial gear boxes running at wide range of temperatures and


under severe load conditions.

6.3. Open Gear Oils Grades 100 NC, 250 NC, and 800 NC used in:

 - open gears
 - wire ropes and cables

All the grades provide lubrication for mining equipment including:

 - girth and pinion gears on rod and ball mills


 - rack and pinion gears on shovel dipsticks
 - Swing and pinion gears on top of the lower frame of shovels and draglines
which are sometimes served with an automatic lubrication system.
 - Open Gear Oils that meet Bucyrus-Erie and P&H requirements for electric
shovels and draglines.

7. As an additive to Metalworking Cutting Oils (10% in volume) in the following


applications:

7.1. Metalworking fluids Grades 11D, 21D, 31A, 31C, 41B, 41E, 43B, 44A, 45A,
45B.
 - Turning, threading, tapping, and broaching of tough alloy steels.

7.2. Metalworking fluids Grades 502, 503, 504, 505 used for:

 - machining of carbon steels, alloy steels, ingot iron, and wrought iron.
 - pipe threading
 - Milling, shaping, planing, lathe work, drilling and pipe perforating operations.
 - Broaching, gear hobbing, threading, tapping and other demanding works.
 - machining of aluminum and aluminum alloys, copper, brass, bronze, and
high strength copper alloys.

Benefits in using the additive:

 - prevents welding (sticking to the cutting tool) in ferrous and non-ferrous
