In-Service Training for
SHS Teachers
(September 24 - 26, 2020)
21st Century Literature from the Philippines and the World
For the recently conducted In-Service Training (INSET) for SHS Teachers who are teaching
the Core Subject: 21st Century Literature from the Philippines and the World last 24th to 26th day
of September, 2020. The Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) envisions to
provide knowledge in teaching one of the Core Subjects in the flexible classes in the new mode
of learning. Despite the current public health condition, students must continue the learning
through teaching the most essential topics in the learning platform that fits to the context of the
learners.
Flexible Class
A flexible class follows a variation of class schedule that suits to individual student’s
context.
It uses varied instructional modalities in facilitating the learning of individual student.
Recognizes individual student’s context in learning the essential topics of the subject.
Employs differentiated task by output in monitoring the progress of learning.
Flexible Instruction Delivery Plan (FIDP)
A learning instruction plan that ensures the attainment of the learning objectives of the
curriculum which are modified through the Most Essential Learning Competencies
(MELCs). This is the delivery plan suited to the current situation of our community. It
also serves as a guide to teachers on how to become flexible in teaching the subject suited
to the context of the student.
Formative Assessment:
Assessment for Learning facilitates learning through frequent activities to provide continuous
feedback of learning for an opportunity to improve learning.

The learning materials help and endeavor to provide supplementary learning to the students
despite of the differences of the students’ contexts, and develop the subject’s learning
competencies as well.
Conclusion:
This training developed not only my professional growth as well as my personal development. It
taught me how to become flexible in every situation I am, and helped me to know what should
and how should I teach the 21st Century learners in the current situation we are facing today.
