I. Answer the following questions concisely:


1. What is the difference between ‘research’ and ‘inquiry’? (5pts.)

Inquiry is the process of finding answers to questions, whereas research is the


systematic and formal investigation and study of materials and sources in order
to establish facts and reach new conclusions

2. Discuss the importance of research in our lives. (5 pts.)

It allows us to disprove lies and support truths. It is a means to find, gauge, and
seize opportunities. It promotes a love of and confidence in reading, writing,
analyzing, and sharing valuable information. It provides nourishment and
exercise for the mind.

II. Let us find out how much you already know about the Characteristics of
Quantitative Research. Put a tick (/) if the statement describes the characteristics of a
Quantitative Research.
