BACKGROUND OF THE BUSINESS

The sudden change in the way of life took place just a couple of years ago. In 2020 the
COVID-19 Pandemic compelled to change the way people live, or as we call it “new normal”
way of living. Everyone was mandated to stay at home or at least comply with the government’s
safety guidelines. Staying at home can be gruesome to most of us, especially the people who like
going out, hanging out with friends and family. One comfort to find at home is having a pet,
might be a dog or a cat. Most people treat these animals like humans, giving them the right food
and nutrition they need and giving them grooming to keep them clean. As people care for them,
like to hug and sleep next to them, owners avail services that fit their desire to groom their pets.
Pet owners are increasingly treating their pets as their children or family. They are willing to
invest lots of money to have them cared for and make them clean at all times. Most owners do
not have the time to groom their pets or they simply do not know how to groom them in a
professional way. We are a country that loves and cares for our pets hence the patronage of pet
services.

Because of this, services of pet grooming are always in high demand. Having an
entrepreneur mindset who is looking for profitable opportunities to explore, this business is
established. We aim to give customer satisfaction from making their pets look clean and
beautiful and to provide them with nourishing foods and snacks. We make sure that we meet
customer’s needs professionally and adapt new creative trends for the pet services.

NAME OF THE BUSINESS

Dogs as they wag their tails, it pertains that the dog feels happy and confident. Same with
cats, when they wag their tails it shows that they are happy and contented. Such sight of wagging
tails of pets brings bliss to their owner and other people. Hence, the business name was inspired
by this concept which is Cheery Tails. Cheery Tails is the name of the business, it lines with the
main objective of the business’ service, to bring happiness, comfort, and freshness to dogs and
cats as they cheery wagging their tails coming back to the arms of their owner. The name of the
business delivers the business’ object to its consumer clearly.

Cheery Tails Pet Salon is a mobile pet grooming salon taking the business on the road
that is convenient for customers, less stressful on pets, and a safer option for health-conscious
clients during the pandemic. This mobile pet grooming can come to pet owners’ home or even
where they work, leaving with their pet feeling clean, fresh, and cheerful in under two hours!

The logo of Cheery Tails Pet Salon is colored bright yellow. This color is associated with
sun that symbolizes happiness and freshness. Accents of yellow help give the design energy and
will make the pets feel clean and cheerful. The “Cheery Tails” is in large font size as it
emphasizes the name of the company. Moreover, the “Cheery Tails” is in curve font style as it
points out a smile giving a happy grooming experience for all furry friends out there. The 2022 is
the birth of the company, the year when the company has been established. The proponents used
an illustration that is straightforward to the business service – grooming to easily engage the
target customers.

LOCATION OF THE BUSINESS

The main facility will be established in an upscale and growing area in Lucena: Enriquez
St. Cor. Lakandula St., Barangay 9, although for the most, concerning the pandemic, we will take
the service near your door as we are conducting a truck service business.

TYPE OF BUSINESS ORGANIZATION

The type of business organization is a partnership a formal arrangement ran by 6 people.


A profitable organization that provides pet grooming services and additional pet grooming
goodies. The activities are divided equally according to each member’s skill set and experience.
The owners share the capital, liabilities and equally divided the profit.

health through overall hygiene.

To provide good quality pet grooming services with great consistency and compassion.
Through the provided services, the Cheery Tails would express undeniable care about the well-
being of pets protecting their happiness.

OBJECTIVES

The primary objectives of the business are:

 To attend and provide pieces of training and seminar for expounding the skills and
knowledge in pet grooming will be one of its first steps to respond to the vision and
mission statement of the business.
 To innovate and exceed the customers’ expectations on the quality of the service
performance.
 To have product-owned grooming care for pets for the reason of having total complete
Cheery Tails package in performing the pet grooming services.
 To give happiness, freshness, and comfort to the pets and the pet owners by maintaining
the health of both sides through providing health care through hygiene for the pets and
securing the health of the pet owners by preventing them from transporting amid the
pandemic

SERVICES AND PRODUCTS OFFERED

Cheery Tails is a pet grooming business that focuses on offering several grooming
services near the door steps of the pet owners. On the other side, Cheery Tails offers pet groom
essentials to maintain the clean look of the pet.
A. Services

Cheery Tails offers full-service pet grooming services through a truck enabling the services
to bring closer to the customer. This allows the customer or the pet owner to feel ensured that the
pet grooming services are well-performed since they could witness the actual process of doing
the services. A full pet grooming includes bathing, blow drying, brushing hair, breed specific or
customer requested haircut, teeth brushing, ear cleaning, nail trimming, powder application, and
cologne application. For sanitary grooming, it includes eye part fur cutting, ear cleaning, nail
trimming, sanitary trim, and cologne application. Cheery Tails pet grooming services ensures the
pet’s health by providing good hygiene and also the pet owner’s health by delivering the services
to their house.

FULL HAPPINESS (Full Pet Grooming)


Bathing Cheery Tails offers pet bathing that only use natural and
organic products for pets. The bathing helps to keep the
pets’ coat and skin clean and healthy and eliminates the
odor.
Blow Drying Cheery Tails blow dry the pets with free-heat and for
enough period of time. This allows the coat and skin
maintain its natural moisture and the hair will be much
more likely to brush off easily.
Brushing Hair Brushing the hair of the pets helps to remove the dead hair
or fur from their coat. Cheery Tails free tangle the hair of
the pets before performing its haircut.
Haircut Before haircutting or performing the full pet grooming
service, Cheery Tails ask for the pet owner’s desired
haircut whether personal liking or just breed specific
haircut. The haircut allows the pets to feel comfortable
and much clean.
Teeth Brushing Teeth cleaning for the pets prevents the tarter and plaque
to buildup. Cheery Tails uses toothpaste that has natural
ingredients.
Ear Cleaning Cheery Tails removes the dirt, heavy ear wax and the
inner ear hair.
Nail Trimming Cheery Tails cut nails of the cats and dogs to prevent
injuries and discomfort that may occur when nails grow
too long.
Powder Application This helps the pets to eliminate stinks. Powdering leave
the pets feeling fresh and smell clean. Cheery tails applies
powder that will not irritate the skin or to the nose of the
pets.
FUN-TARY GROOMING (Sanitary Grooming)
Eye part fur cutting Cheery Tail trims the pet’s hair near the eyes to prevent
eye irritation. This allows the pets to have clearer vision.
Ear Cleaning Cheery Tails removes the dirt, heavy ear wax and the
inner ear hair.
Nail Trimming Cheery Tails cut nails of the cats and dogs to prevent
injuries and discomfort that may occur when nails grow
too long.
Sanitary Trim Sanitary trim is where the Cheery Tails shave the belly
and around the rear end of the pet to keep the area
sanitary.
Cologne Application Cheery Tail applies non-irritation cologne for pets, to
eliminate the lingering odor

services are also offered to be purchased. This enables the pet owners to maintain the cleanliness
of their pets still with the touch of Cheery Tails’ care. Aside from that, the products contain
natural and organic ingredients that ensure responds to the skin care that the pets deserve.
