When the FELCOM 19 is connected to the IC-307 (Ship Security Alert System),
be sure to update the software to Ver.01.14.

[Symptoms]

On the FELCOM 19 with Ver.01.13 that is NOT connected to the (running) PC terminal,
- the IC-307 cannot transmit SSAS reports.
- when Distress/SSAS Button Test of the IC-307 is conducted, the [POWER] and
RADAR

[LOGIN] lamps remains lighted, and the Test does not proceed to the subsequent

steps (Normality/Abnormality determination of the Distress/SSAS button cannot be

Note: For the applicable equipment (with Ver. 01.13 delivered from the factory),


see the Appendix.

Equipment that was updated to Ver.01.13 in the field (after the release in Feb.
2017) and is connected to the IC-307 is also applicable.

[Cause]


SSB
The cause is that “A function to start detection of the Distress/SSAS button after the
start of the PC terminal” was added to Ver.01.13.
Thus, the symptoms do not occur when the FELCOM 19 is connected to the (running)
PC terminal.

- When the FELCOM 19 is NOT connected to the IC-307, operation with Ver.01.13
