SUBJECT: MINUTES OF THE 177TH MEETING OF THE ADVANCED STUDIES AND RESEARCH BOARD.

The 177th meeting of the Advanced Studies and Research Board, Mehran University of Engineering and
Technology, Jamshoro was held on 07 th December, 2021 at 12.00 noon in the Prof. Dr. H.M. Memon
Senate Hall under the Chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ali Unar, Dean, Faculty of Electrical, Electronic
and computer System Engineering.

The meeting started with the recitation from Holy Quran by Prof. Dr. Zeeshan Khatri,
Professor, Department of Textile Engineering. Thereafter, item-wise agenda was taken–up and the
following decisions were made:

To consider and confirm the minutes of the 176 th meeting of Advanced Studies and
Research Board, held on 02.11.2021.
RESOLUTION No.177.01 (a)
Resolved that there were no observations received from the members of Advanced Studies & Research
Board, therefore, Prof. Dr. Khan Muhammad Brohi proposed that the minutes of 176 th meeting of the
Advanced Studies & Research Board, held on 02.11.2021 be confirmed which was second by
Prof. Dr. Asif Ali Shaikh.

To consider the request of Ms. Aqsa Murad (20S-STE-07) M.E. student in Structural
Engineering for expenditure reimbursement of research project.
RESOLUTION No. 177.03 (a)
Resolved that the request of Ms. Aqsa Murad (20S-STE-07) M.E. student in Structural Engineering for
reimbursement of expenses made on ME Project of Rs.22, 600.00 be approved. Furthermore, it is
resolved that all such future cases of funding may be processed through concerned directorate and be
recommended by the Research Funding Committee.

2. The action taken on the decisions of 177 th meeting of ASRB may be reported to the Secretary of

4. The items for 178th meeting of ASRB may be sent to the Secretary of ASRB by the 22.12.2021
5. The 178th meeting of ASRB will be held on 04.01.2022.
