My First Time Driving

When I was 18 years old ,my dad taught me how to drive. At first I could not steer the
wheel and change the gear at the same time. I remember being so confused, but my dad
told me to focus and concentrate on the road ,and i will succeed to do it naturally. He would
take me every morning so the road is clear from moving cars, and teach me everything
about driving and cars in general. One day, i got to drive alone for the first time ever, and i
am used to have my mother or sister with me. I was nervous, worried, and anxious about
driving alone for the first time ever. I literally forgot every single thing i learned with my
dad, because the other cars were moving very fast and they were driving illegally. I
immediately stopped the car on the side of the road, and began to tell myself that it is okay
to feel scared, and it is just because it is my first time driving alone. After that, i calmed
down and i felt better than before and i was ready to go. Suddenly i heard knocking on the
window, and it was a police officer. My hands were shaking and i could not feel my legs,
but i managed to open the window and talk to the police officer. He told me there is nothing
to be afraid of, and i just parked where i am not supposed to. I thanked him a lot ,because
he did not give a ticket. After that, i went on with the road with a confident driving.
Although it was a nerve racking experience, i felt amazing, confident, and proud of my self.
This moment helped me to realise to always be brave and believe in myself, and it is okay
to be afraid of doing something for the first time.
