 GRIME COIN
GrimeCoin is for music and culture. Its purpose is to ensure artists can
get value for their creations anytime anywhere they are consumed.
Artists can get paid every time their music is played, their video is
watched, or merchandise is sold.

The token name comes from a British genre of dance music called
Grime, known for its high energy and constant innovation. We are cre-
ating a new cryptocurrency based ecosystem within the Grime music
industry.

But our aims go beyond music. GrimeCoin can be used for any kind of
transaction, shops, websites - anywhere you use money, you will be
able to use GrimeCoin - anywhere in the world.

Our Roadmap outlines the timeline for the tools and services we are
building out to ensure everyone can benefit from GrimeCoin.

We will also be announcing some exciting partnerships over the next

few months so watch this space.

Problem

Getting paid as a creative has been a problem since the beginning of

modern commerce. Often artists are not paid fair value for their crea-
tions - or just not paid at all. Getting ripped off is a constant experience,
especially as art and creativity isn’t viewed by many as real work.
The few creatives that manage to become successful after running the
gauntlet of intermediaries and gatekeepers tend to get the lions share
of the economic value within a creative artform, while the rest fight for
scraps.

As a creative, if you want to be paid from your work this usually means
making it available via an online platform - i.e Etsy, Spotify, Youtube
or Bandcamp. The problem with that is you are entirely dependent
on their operation. If someone likes your work - their payment to you
has to go through many intermediaries, all of whom take their cut. An
example payment flow for a musician follows.

A typical payment flow for a musician that streams music

1. You make your work available on a platform

2. The user pays for access to the streaming platform. This fee is divid-
ed between the service and existing agreements between large royalty
collection societies in each country. The rest is placed in a pool to be
divided between all of the artists on the platform that recieve plays.
3. At some point several weeks or months down the line you recieve a
small payment.

By point three, everyone else along the chain has been paid - the artist
is last. However the payment flow above assumes the artist has a bank

account, and is in a country that the services payment provider sup-
ports. Many people around the world still do not have easy access to
banking or payment services - so have no realistic way of earning a liv-
ing from their creative output. GrimeCoin aims to resolve this problem.

Our Solution

GrimeCoin token offers a fast, easy way for artists to get paid, no mat-
ter where they are in the world. If an artist has access to the internet,
they can access GrimeCoin.

A payment flow for a musician using GrimeCoin

1. The musician makes their work available on a service or dapp sup-

porting grimecoin.
2. The user connects their wallet to the service.
3. The user accesses the artist content. The artist can recieve an instant
payment in GrimeCoin. It can either be per play, or a one off payment if
the content is downloadable.
4. The GrimeCoin can be exchanged for any Cryptocurrency, which can
be converted to fiat, or used with any business that accepts GrimeCoin
as payment.

These examples just apply to one type of creative asset - however the
GrimeCoin token payment flow can be applied to anything someone
wishes to make payment for.

Grimecoin tokens can be spent with vendors that support payment by

cryptocurrency, or can be exchanged for fiat currency on a supported
exchange.

With GrimeCoin artists can generate extra income from fans via tipping,
subscriptions and fundraising. GrimeCoin also has planned support for
NFTs.

The only intermediary between the user and the artist is the GrimeCoin
application facilitating the payment. As long as an artist has a Grime-
coin wallet, they can recieve GrimeCoin token anytime, anywhere in
the world.

Depending on the application a very small transaction fee will be

charged - but since every interaction generates a payment, the service
will not need to have high multi-percent transaction fees and payment
delays of weeks and months.

The fees would be equivalent to hundreths or thousandths of a percent.

GrimeCoin is more than just a way for creatives to get paid. Grime
coin token can be a means of payments for all kinds of transac-
tions. Our goal is to develop and share new and innovative soft-
wares to enable everyone to benefit from Grimecoin.

The Grimecoin token is built for utility not for speculators to buy
and hold for hoped for future gains. The more the token is used the
more demand will rise.

The finite supply of 100 million tokens will let the markets dictate
its value.

GrimeCoin Wallet
Your gateway into GrimeCoin. Your GrimeCoin wallet will let you
pay for services, support your favourite artists, recieve rewards,
and much more.

GrimeCoin Payment software

Vendors will be able to accept GrimeCoin payments anytime, in
person or online. Transactions will be seamlessly converted from
FIAT to the equivalent in GrimeCoin

Integrations with common E-commerce Platforms

Opensource plugins and libraries will be made available for ven-
dors to integrate into common e-commerce platforms like Word-
press, Magento, Shopify and more.

Smart Contracts
XRPL does not currently support smart contracts, due to the
creaters desire to keep the featureset focused on fast, reliable
payments. However Federated Sidechains have been proposed as
a solution. We are monitoring developments in this area and will
have more announcements in his area.

GrimeCoin NFTs
XRPL has a proposed NFT standard XLS-20d that will be faster and
cheaper to use than popular Ethereum based NFT platforms. We
are monitoring this development on XRPL and aim to be one of the
first major updates we implement on GrimeCoin.

Artists can apply for funding through the Grimecoin.io website and
