PART ONE

1. Go to the website. Click on "Rules." Read the rules of the campground for your group.
Group A will read the General Rules. Group B will read the Pool Rules. Group C will read
the Snowmobile Rules.

(Remember: Just look at the site to get information for this exercise; do not give personal
information or credit card information anywhere in the website.)

2. Make a quick quiz for your classmates. Write a question about five of the rules you read.
Don't show your answers to the other groups.
Example:
Do pets have to be on a leash at all times?

3. Work with classmates from the two other groups. Exchange quizzes. Look on the website
and find the answers. Write your answers using have (got) to, don't have to, must, must not,
and can't.
Example:
Do pets have to be on a leash at all times?
Yes, you've got to keep your pet on a leash and you can't leave it outside when you go to
sleep.

PART TWO

Work with a small group. Think of five rules where you live (in a family situation, dormitory,
apartment, etc.). Which rules do you think are fair or unfair. How would you change the rules if
you could? Talk to your group members about the rules you have to follow. Use have (got) to,
don't have to, must, must not, and can't.
Example:
A: Our dormitory has quiet hours. From 10 pm to 7 am, no one can play loud music or
have parties. But no one follows the rule! I think they have got to be quiet or look for
another place to live.
