WEB ACTIVITY: Search the web for predictions about the future.

WEBSITE ADDRESSES:
http://www.wfs.org/forecasts.htm
http://www.futurefacing.com/articles.htm

PART ONE

1. Go to the websites. Scan some of the predictions about the future. Choose five predictions
and read about them. Do you agree or disagree with these predictions?

2. Write sentences about the five predictions you chose using may, might, or could.
Example:
Some people say we might not have specific times for meals in the future. I disagree.
We may have more meals away from home, but families still need time together and
meals are a common time to meet.

most interesting. What were your reactions to the predictions?
Example:
A: I read that we might have all day eating.
B: Maybe, but I don’t think so.
C: That would be great. Then I could have a meal in a restaurant when it wasn't crowded.
