3.1 Limits
- In a manager-assistant configuration, the secret ID function cannot be used, whether or not
it is validated.
- A set on which the secret ID function is validated cannot use the call-back on busy set and
call-back on free set functions.
4.1 Configuration
Management of the secret ID function is carried out from four different parameters which must
be combined to create the required function (see table: Summary on the secret Id. sending ):
Object name: Entities
Attributes:
Caller Id. Secret : Set at Yes, this parameter allows the system to mask
ID of the users of this entity.
Note: the meaning of these four parameters must not be interpreted literally, since it is only the
combination of the four which is used to obtain the required operation (see table next page).
The combination of these parameters is used to obtain the following various functions:

Entities Specific Telephone Users
Services
External Internal Caller Id. Secret/ Mask Id. ISDN
Secret Identity name Only subscriber

To use the secret ID function, a programmable key must be declared on the set.
If sets are not configured with such a programmable key, users are subject to secret ID or not
depending on the configuration of the entity to which they belong.

5.2 Implementation
If the user has a programmable key, he may use it to mask his ID on local (and ABC network)
calls, ISDN calls or both at the same time, depending on the management carried out (see
module Secret ID - Configuration procedure ).
In this case, he can use this key at any time to change from the "send ID" state to the "Secret
ID" state. This key functions as a toggle key, which means that it remains locked in "active"
position for the following calls until the user presses it again in order to de-activate the
function.
Caution: this function can only be accessed by a programmable key. Although it is essential to
configure a prefix, you cannot use this prefix directly.
