PROJECT PROPOSAL

Project Title: I CARE- Learn for Success Program

Social Inequality Problem: Income Inequality (Inequality in Education during COVID-19

Pandemic

Rationale:

Anchoring to Sulong Edukalidad, Basic Learning Continuity Plan ( BLCP) and The 1987

Constitution Article XIV, Section 1 that the “State shall protect and promote the right of all

citizens to quality education at all levels, and shall take appropriate steps to make such

education accessible to all.” This right must be upheld at all times, and DepEd is duty-bound

to provide learning opportunities even in the time of the COVID-19 national emergency.

The plan features of this Project is adjusted to the curriculum with the Most Essential

Learning Competencies which will be delivered in multiple learning delivery modalities.

These multiple learning delivery modalities necessitate the creation, reproduction,

distribution, and use of learning resources. The learning resources shall comprise not only the

usual textbooks and teaching guides used by DepEd in normal times, but also Strategic

Intervention Materials in print formats.

Objectives:

1.To bridge the learning gap to struggling learners with low performance in reading and

comprehension skills in Science and Mathematics using limited face to face peer to peer

tutorial approach practicing standard health protocols and at the same enhance student

leadership capabilities.
2. To reach out students who are situated in geographically isolated places particularly

learners with no internet access and gadgets to online or blended learning modality.

3. To serve as an avenue for Authentic Learning to take place where students utilize printed

instructional and hands on learning materials fitted to the Most Essential Learning

Competencies.

Proposed Solutions:

1.Improved learners reading and comprehension ability in the Most Essential Learning

Competencies in Science and Mathematics and enhanced student leadership skills through

peer-to-peer education approach.

2.Provided Accessible and Quality Education Services to geographically isolated learners

with strong observance to standard health protocols.

3.Developed appropriate instructional materials such Strategic Intervention Materials and

Learning Activity Sheets suited to the Most Essential Learning Competencies.
