CIRCLE
● The locus of all points in the plane
having the same fixed positive
distance (radius), from the point
(center).
PARABOLA
● Locus of points such that the
distance from a point to a focus is
equal to the distance from the same
point and the directrix.
ELLIPSE
● When the plane figure is tilted and
cut only one cone to form a bounded
curve then it generates an Ellipse.
HYPERBOLA
● A curve that occurs at the
intersection of a cone and a plane.
● Set of all points in the plane such
that the difference of their distances
from the fixed point (foci) is constant.
● Asymptotes- these are two lines that
intersect at the center.
