answer the following questions.

I. Answer the following questions after reading the lesson ‘The Three Questions’
○ Who is the author of the story “The Three questions”?

○ What was the hermit doing when the king came to visit him?

5. Why do the fishermen prefer the dangers of the sea to the comfort of the land?

the land and enjoy facing the waves, seeing them dance and feeling the salty spray on
the face.

IV. Answer the following questions on the basis of the reading of the poem ‘ Grannie’

1.When did the speaker feel safe?


Clues- ...he felt safe with his grandmother and her smile was like a warm shawl, she was a
protective barrier between the child and all the things that worried and frightened him. She
gave him a sense of security and a feeling of being loved.

2.What had happened to the speaker in France?


Clues- was wounded while fighting in the Second World War...

3.What did grannie do when the speaker wrote to her and asked her to visit him?
Clues- ..she came to the hospital to see him
