Vision, Mission and Goals of the Project

A project vision statement is a description or declaration of what an organization/project
team wants to obtain or accomplish upon the completion of a project. While the vision is the
grand idea, the vision statement is a clear and concise announcement and description of the
big picture. Its aim is to guide, motivate and inspire the people working on the project.

A mission statement is a written document that defines the objectives, purpose, and goals a
business or project will pursue. ... For example, when you're in the middle of planning a
project, and you have a choice to make, a mission statement can be beneficial.

A project goal describes the projects impact: the long-term effects that should (also) be
triggered. ... The project goal provides the link between the project and its direct effects
(project objective), and the overarching goals both within and outside the organisation.

6 P's of Project Management

WBS
Work-breakdown structure (WBS) is
a deliverable-oriented breakdown of
a project into smaller components.
It is a key project deliverable that
organizes the team's work into
manageable sections.

WBS is used to define and organize

the total scope of a project.

to mark specific points along a project timeline.
These points may signal anchors such as a project
start and end date, or a need for external review or
input and budget checks.
