IV. LEARNING PHASES AND LEARNING ACTIVITIES

I. Introduction (Time Frame: 30 minutes)

Recall that in the previous lessons, you were engaged with the essentials of research methodology such as research design,
research instruments and appropriate statistical techniques.

In the next two weeks of learning Practical Research 2, you will be asked collect data using appropriate instruments,
present and interpret data in tabular or graphical form and use statistical techniques to analyze data.
IV. LEARNING PHASES AND LEARNING ACTIVITIES

D. Development (Time Frame: 30 minutes)

Learning Task 1: Enumerate me..

Directions: Enumerate the following:
1-4 Four (4) things the a researcher could save with proper planning of data collection
5-8 Factors that must be considered in collecting data
9-11 Steps in analysis of data
12-13 Braches of Statistics
14-17 Levels of Measurement of variables
18-19 Kinds of non-parametric test
E. Engagement (Time Frame: 60 minutes)

Learning Task 2: Puzzle Analysis

Directions: Use the clues to fill in the words above. Words can go across or down. Letters are shared when the words intersect.

2. shows distance
4. used for ranking
5. has absolute zero
6. pre requisite to research
7. (nominal&ordinal)

DOWN
1. (interval&ratio)
3. attributes only 1 variable

A. Assimilation (Time Frame: 320 minutes)

Finalize your Data Analysis with the following parts. Submit it to your research teacher using in A4-sized bond paper, 1-inch
margin in all sides, Arial – 12 font. You may submit a printed copy or a digital copy to be sent via email.

1. Statement of the Problem (SOP)

2. Statistical tools used
(Note: All approved SOP must be filled up)

• Communicate your personal assessment as indicated in the Learner’s Assessment Card.
Personal Assessment on Learner’s Level of Performance
Using the symbols below, choose one which best describes your experience in working on each given task. Draw it in the column
for Level of Performance (LP). Be guided by the descriptions below:
 - I was able to do/perform the task without any difficulty. The task helped me in understanding the target content/ lesson.
✓ - I was able to do/perform the task. It was quite challenging, but it still helped me in understanding the target content/lesson.
? – I was not able to do/perform the task. It was extremely difficult. I need additional enrichment activities to be able to do/perform this
task.
