ASSESSMENT CRITERIA:

1. Appropriate personal protective equipment is used in line with standard procedures.

2. Defective components or parts are replaced or corrected without damage to the surrounding
environment or services

3. Adjustments, if necessary are made in accordance with established procedures

4. Unplanned events or conditions are responded to in accordance with established procedures.

Contents:

1. Defects in computer systems and networks

2. Troubleshooting and repair techniques

3. Problem solving in emergency situation

4. Corrective action

- Hardware Configuration

- Software configuration

Conditions

 The students/trainees must be provided with the following:

1. PC and network specification

2. PC specification

3. Scheduled/periodic maintenance checklist

4. Personal protective equipment

5. Materials

6. Diagnostics software and CD-ROMs

7.  Tools and test equipment’s

 8. Spare parts

Assessment Method:
1. Hands-on

2. Direct observation

3. Practical demonstration
