SPECIFIC ISSUES IN STS REPORT


Presentation Guide

Guide:
1. Choose 1 specific issue in STS (nanotechnology, GMO’s, cloning, climate change and others)
2. Research on the notable points about the topic. Cite your references using APA format.
3. Be guided with the following questions:
Introduction:
a. What is the specific issue all about? Present a brief history or origin.
b. Who are the prominent scientists behind the development of this issue?
Body:
c. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this issue on our society?
d. Give specific examples or recent situations about the issue.
e. What is the stand of the global community on this issue?
Conclusion:
f. What are the recent developments on this issue? How will this issue affect the future?
g. What is your position on this issue?
h. Give your overall insight or critique on this issue.

4. The presentation should not exceed 30-minutes. You can use any presentation platform in
reporting.
5. Please be guided with the rubric below for scoring.
