1. Based on the data given I think there will be a labor surplus although have 30% reduction of
labor in the 3 years and pay or retirement of 3% per year. The supply over demand will assure to
achieve and the customer satisfaction will received to.

2. Lay off is not an easy decision, but if the company need the equipment for the improvement
and innovation. Talk to them in a nice way, and explain the circumstances come along the
company. Discuss the data for somehow they understand well the situation, the separation pay
should be based on law. The layoff manpower will be benefitted.

3. Opposing the statement that Human Resource Planning is just waste of time and effort or the
company operating in a highly volatile environment. As what I have learned planning is never a
waste of time ,even in a volatile environment it will create a better understanding for the person
make planning and to the company.

ASSIGNMENT
1. HR department fairly involves in expansion plans, because they have to make plan and do
forecasting regarding the necessary requirement o manpower in the organization expansion.
They have to what organization will do in expansion and what kind of skills and potential
required in that expansion. And what are the job roles and how to do planning related to
recruitment and selection should be.

2. He should us about what expansion is all about, for him to know how to do it right and what
exactly it means because he is an HR manager. HR manager should be know what is it he will
lead business development strategy an execution, marketing and development of strategic
partnership to increase scale of the company.HR managers must be able to show whether
expansion is cost-effective.

3.A collaboration between HR and executive leaders have been done prior to the meeting on the
proposed expansion so that HR can heighten concerns about where existing employees fit into
the expansion plan or need to recruit will arise. HR is a revenue-impact department even if HR
isn’t a revenue-generating department. For example, illustrate the strategic value HR in proving
that an investment in recruitment activities yields better-qualified workers. A better-qualified
workforce translates into higher revenues, thus showing that HR operations affect business
revenue. Therefore, a communication plan about business goals should coincide with HRP.

4. As with the major bussiness change, the key to keeping your team on side as you expand your
business is communication. If your efforts to grow your business are to succeed, you must keep
your employees in the know of what happening what will become of them, how their role
change.
