They are 6 different fresh fruits, 4 different vegetables, and 5 different whole grains. Find the Probability
of getting what you eat with the indicated foods.

a.) P (F ∪ V) = P (F) + P(V)

= 6/15 + 4/15

= 10/15 = 66.67%

health and diet is so important because a healthy diet helps to protect against malnutrition in all its forms,
as well as noncommunicable diseases such as diabetes , heart diseases , stroke and cancer but people are
now consuming more foods high in energy, fats, free sugars and salt/sodium, and many people do not eat
enough fruit, vegetables and other dietary fibre such as whole grains that is unhealthy diet which causes
them to be fat and unhealthy.  To maintain healthy diet you should eat Eating at least 400 g, or five
portions, of fruit and vegetables per day reduces the risk of NCDs and helps to ensure an adequate daily
intake of dietary fibre also A well-balanced diet provides the nutrients your body needs to work properly.
The majority of your daily calories should come from fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as whole grains,
to get the nutrients you require. Lean proteins include legumes, nuts, and seeds. To manage   a steady
weight can be achieved by eating a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and a small
amount of unsaturated fats, meat, and dairy. When you eat a wide range of these foods on a daily basis,
you'll have less demand for foods high in fat and sugar, which are a leading cause of weight gain. In
addition to exercise, eating a balanced diet in the right amounts will help you lose weight.

 Eating a balanced diet does not imply imposing stringent restrictions, maintaining an unrealistically slim
physique, or depriving yourself of your favorite foods. It's all about feeling fantastic, getting more energy,
bettering your health, and improving your mood. it doesn't have to be difficult to eat well. You're not
alone if you're feeling confused by all the contradictory nutrition and diet recommendations out there. It
seems that for every expert who says a certain food is safe, there is another who says the exact opposite.
The reality is that while certain foods or nutrients have been shown to improve mood, it is ultimately up
to you. There are tips for healthy eating , eat a lots of fruits and vegetable atleast 5 portions variety every
day , eat more fish including a portion of oily fish atleast 2 portions of a week , cut down saturated fat and
sugar  too much saturated fat can increase the amount of cholesterol in the blood, which increases your
risk of developing heart disease , saturated fat foumd in many foods such as fatty cuts of meat , sausage ,
butter , hard cheese etc.

Reduce your intake of saturated fats and replace them with unsaturated fats like vegetable oils and
spreads, oily fish, and avocados. Using a small amount of vegetable or olive oil, or a reduced-fat spread
instead of butter or lard for a healthier option. When eating meat, choose lean cuts and trim away any
noticeable fat.

Diet and Health delves into the many complexities surrounding diet and its role in raising or decreasing
chronic disease risk. It makes dietary suggestions for lowering the risk of major diseases and causes of
death. Many recent studies have linked dietary factors to the development and prevention of serious

most pressing social issues of the twenty-first century. In this review, we look at the evidence for
discrepancies between modern diets and those on which humankind evolved as a cause of the rising
incidence of chronic diseases. Many people want to live a long life, but only a few people are given the
opportunity to do so; most of the time, many people die as a result of their health problems.

Health and Diet It helps to maintain or improve overall health. A healthy diet provides the body with
essentials nutrition fluid macronutrients, micronutrients and food energy. It also means eating a variety of
foods that give you the nutrients you need to maintain. You need vitamins and minerals in the diet. These
are vital for boost immunity and healthy development. If you have healthy body and have a good diet you
are protected from certain type of diseases in particular non communicable diseases such as obesity,
diabetes, cardiovascular diseases,some types of cancer and skeletal conditions.
