and practices are shaping tomorrow's history. A number of changes are taking place which are
influencing the work of managers.
Management can license or franchise to another firm the right to use its brand name, technology or
product specification. Managements of global companies are adjusting their organizational structures as
per the requirements of situations. The managers are being taught to be global in approach.
Managers will have to shift their philosophy from treating everyone alike to recognizing difference and
responding to those differences in ways that will ensure employee retention and greater productivity.
Managements of multinational and transnational companies have to study the legal-political and
cultural environment of the hist country and device managerial practices and policies. Managers have to
keep the whole work force motivated and creativity involved in work.
The labor code prohibits payment of wages by means of promissory notes, vouchers, coupons, tickets,
chits or any object other than legal tender, even when expressly requested by employees. The
employees are given reasonable time during banking hours to withdraw their wages from the bank
which should be considered as compensable hours worked if done during working hours. Wages shall be
paid at least once every two weeks or twice a month, at intervals exceeding sixteen days. If an account
of force majeure or circumstances beyond the employer's control, payment of wages on or within the
time herein provided cannot be made, the employer shall pay the wages immediately after such force
majeure or circumstances have ceased.

adaptation. Communication in an organization is very important in order to accomplish tasks and
responsibilities. Having poor communication is the most frequently cited source of interpersonal
conflict.

importance of business ethics in the 21st century has reached an all-time high. Ethics in government has

sexual abuse within religious institutions, schools and sports organizations also receive regular and
abundant media attention.
