Special properties PERISOFT ULT is an excellent, hydrophilic softener for all kinds of fibres. Especially
good effects result on cotton and its blends with synthetics. Fabrics treated with
PERISOFT ULT show a very soft, voluminous and smooth handle.

PERISOFT ULT improves the sewability of woven and knitted fabrics due to its
additives of polyethylene and silicone. PERISOFT ULT is low foaming and shear
resistant and therefore suitable to be used in modern short liquor machines.

PERISOFT ULT is practically not yellowing up to a drying temperature of 140 °C.

This also applies for optically brightened white goods.

Compatibility PERISOFT ULT is compatible with cationic, nonionic and slightly anionic products.
Strongly anionic products may cause precipitations when applied in one bath.
Pretrials are recommended.

Stability PERISOFT ULT is resistant to acids, electrolytes and water hardness in common
concentrations. Alkali will decrease the stability of the bath.

Scope Softening of cotton and its blends with synthetics when a very soft handle and a very
good sewability are required. Suitable for exhaustion or padding process. Best
suited for the application on jet dyeing machines or for a spray process (WEKO).

PERISOFT ULT is suitable for dyed fabrics and white goods.

Application PERISOFT ULT can be diluted in any ratio with cold water. In case of the exhaustion
method, the prediluted solution is normally added to the finishing bath at 40 °C
directly after having been set to pH 5.0 – 5.5. PERISOFT ULT shows a good bath
exhaustion and a good shear resistance even at neutral pH value. Therefore, a
slightly acid pH value is not absolutely necessary. Treatment is made during 15 – 20
minutes at 40 °C.

Safety advice Spray applications of PERISOFT ULT must be avoided. Aerosols of PERISOFT ULT
must not be inhaled. Spray application is only possible when using adequate
respiratory protection as well as sufficient ventilation equipment. Please observe
the safety indications in the safety data sheet.

Storage We recommend to protect the product from direct sunlight and to store it in a dry
area at temperatures of 10 – 35 °C. PERISOFT ULT is very sensitive to frost. At
temperatures below 0 °C changes occur which durably impair the product quality.

The storage stability of the product is 6 months in the original closed packing.
