Catalase for hydrogen peroxide removal in textile processing

DESCRIPTION: PROCESS CONDITIONS:

ECOZYME BT 88 enzyme is a concentrated liquid
catalase which is ideally suited for bleach clean-up.
We use state-of-the-art biotechnology methods. The
catalase is produced by a genetically modified micro-
organism in a fermentation process. The product is
biodegradable and the degradation products of
hydrogen peroxide have no effect on dyestuffs.
ECOZYME BT 88 performs effectively across broad pH
and temperature range. Table 1 shows the
operational temperature and pH range for the
catalase.

 APPLICATION:
ECOZYME BT 88 can be applied in discontinuous
pretreatment processes such as jet machines,
winches, jiggers, becks and yarn dyeing equipment.

ECOZYME BT 88 enzyme is available in 30 kg plastic
cans.

STORAGE:
PROCESS:
To ensure extended shelf life, store ECOZYME BT 88
enzyme at 25 0C or below in a sealed container.
Prolonged exposure of this product to elevated
temperature may result in a loss of activity.
Reformulated ECOZYME BT 88 enzyme products
should also be packaged in sealed containers.

SAFETY & ENZYME HANDLING:

Inhalation of enzyme dust and mists should be
avoided. In case of contact with the skin or eyes,
promptly rinse with water for at least 15 minutes.
