TO CREATE AN ERROR FREE DRAWING BEFORE NESTING:

STEP NAME

Each shape must be fully closed

Ensure that no lines a doubled

Each part must have clearance for cutting

Save drawing files an accepted format

ORE NESTING:
DESCRIPTION
An example of a closed shape is a cirlce or triangle whose lines have
no gaps. An open shape may look like the desired shape, but doesn't
truly close.
Each drawn line will read as a cut line, hence a single drawn/cut line is
desired to avoid a second pass of the cutting tool.
The cutting tool will make a pass for each cut line. If two parts
interface in the drawing, then the cutting tool will pass twice and not
once to create the cut. Hence removing extra material and this must
be avoided.

The Torchmate CAD/CAM will accept '.dxf' file format from AutoCAD.
However there are several accepted file formats which can be seen in
the Torchmate CAD/CAM software when you select File > Import…

Important***

Male - Cut begins outside of the defined Cut Parts, leaving no marks from the intial cut point

This helps to identify and compensate for the kerf width of the cutter
To keep the part edges uniform, since the initial cut will have a bigger kerf width
