I. OBJECTIVES
Objectives must be met over the week and connected to the curriculum standards. To meet the
objectives, necessary procedures must be followed and if needed, additional lessons, exercises and
remedial activities may be done for developing content knowledge and competencies. These are
assessed using Formative Assessment strategies. Valuing objectives support the learning of content and
competencies and enable children to find significance and joy in learning the lessons. Weekly objectives
shall be derived from the curriculum guides.

IV. PROCEDURES
These steps should be done across the week. Spread out the activities appropriately so that students will
learn well. Always be guided by demonstration of learning by the students which you can infer from
formative assessment activities. Sustain learning systematically by providing students with multiple ways
to learn new things, practice their learning, question their learning processes, and draw conclusions about
what they learned in relation to their life experiences and previous knowledge. Indicate the time allotment
for each step.

Introduction: Creating rules and regulation on this subject. Explaining the grading system 25 – 50 – 25
The teacher will play a video about performing arts such as music, dance and theater. Guide questions:
What kind of music, dance, and theater did you watch in the video ? How did you find their movements ?
Groupings: Give at least 3 words why do people make art and why study art ? Group 1 – 3 Rationalize
and justify your choice with the class.

The teacher will ask the student about their experiences in art by asking these following questions:
Have you ever wondered what art is ? Is it only about paintings and sculptures found in the museum ?
How about the jingles we hear in commercials, or those decorations on our food; is that considered art ?
Can you survive working as performer ? The teacher will ask the student about their stand in performing
music, dance, and theater.
The teacher will present a powerpoint why do artists create art to support the answers of his students.
What type of performing arts do you love to perform ? What main body systems do you use in singing,
dancing, and acting ? Why do we have to do music, dance, and theater ?

Share with the class an example of music, dance, theater form that you have watched or even performed
in, and narrate your experiences with the class.
Fill out the concept map of the importance of studying art. You may add other reasons not present in the
lesson. Share your answers with the class.
The report should include the art form’s characteristics, history of your work (how did you come up with
that idea ?), materials you used, and ways how to create your masterpiece. H. Making generalizations
and abstractions about the lesson
Pick a dance style inside the box prepared by your teacher. This can be done as a group activity with
each group having 10 – 11 members. The performance should be around 2 – 3 minutes long and should
be accompanied with the appropriate music. After the performance, rationalize it with the class, and
justify why the music chosen is appropriate.
Call a student who sing, dance, and act. Give a class an example of vocalization and teach your
classmates how to do it ? Can you teach your classmate a dance moves ?
As a class, choose a theme such as love, life, justice, etc. once you have agreed upon a topic, express
this subject in any art form of your choosing. You can articulate the subject through different forms of
visual arts or the different categories of performing arts.
Ask the students which part of the quiz is too confusing for them.
How to express your emotion if the director ask you to do this scene ?
